Black Ops Cold War Zombies currently has two major bugs that are causing issues in-game - and players need to avoid these Frenzied Guard and Juggernog to prevent problems.
In Call of Duty Zombies, Perks are consumable upgrades that players can buy to strengthen their skills in-game. Heading to a Perk-a-Cola machine allows users to buy a drink of their choice, and boosts their chances at survival.
Field Upgrades are pieces of helpful equipment that are always on-hand. Charge them up through combat to unleash powerful abilities that will help you combat the undead hordes.
But there are two equips that aren't currently very helpful to Cold War Zombies fans. In fact, there are a couple of major issues affecting gameplay, that will only crop up when certain items are in use.
Black Ops Cold War Zombies Perk and Field Upgrade Bug Causes Issues
As it turns out, drinking a certain Perk is currently leading to Black Ops Cold War Zombies players experiencing major issues in-game.
For the time being, it looks like players will have to steer clear of the fan-favorite Juggernog Perk.
Thanks to a strange new bug, Juggernog is responsible for a glitch that removes all of your armor when using splash damage weapons.
When using one of Black Ops Cold War Zombies' best weapons, the Ray Gun, players discovered that all their armor would immediately vanish.
It is believed that this issue stems from the new Tier 5 upgrade of Juggernog, and it triggers if a player gets hit by their own splash damage.
Frenzied Guard Bug
As for Field Upgrades, the new Frenzied Guard is a popular pick for players everywhere. However, it appears that there's a major bug with Frenzied Guard at the moment.
Inexplicably, when using the Field Upgrade, a player's screen will fill with a large white rectangle, blocking vision temporarily. Of course, it doesn't help matters that Frenzied Guard also attracts every zombie on the map to your position.
Given that you're blind, this is a little more than a simple inconvenience to deal with. Players are choosing to avoid Frenzied Guard entirely, for the time being.
Right now, we'll have to wait on Treyarch to fix these issues before picking up these useful items once more. In the meantime, check out our list of the best Field Upgrades in Cold War Zombies.
There's also a new bug that gives Black Ops Cold War Zombies players billions of free Aetherium Crystals. However, we have far fewer issues with that glitch, and it can stay broken for longer as far as we're concerned.
Don't forget to take advantage of this new method to earn insane weapon XP in Cold War Zombies' Outbreak mode. This trick is particularly effective during the current Double XP weekend for Cold War.
And one final exploit lets players sprint incredibly fast in Black Ops Cold War Zombies.
