Cold War & Modern Warfare Have Less 6v6 Multiplayer Content Than Ever

According to a new graph, it looks as though new Call of Duty games like Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare have less 6v6 Multiplayer content than ever before.

Call of Duty may be expanding each year, but its 6v6 Multiplayer content certainly isn't. The iconic Multiplayer 6v6 action only appears to be decreasing with each passing year, reveals a shocking new graph.

When Black Ops Cold War Season 2 released, users were angry that the new update caters more to Zombies players than Multiplayer fans. In truth, only one new 6v6 Multiplayer map released with Season 2, and players weren't happy.

Now we expect more Multiplayer content to be dropping next week in Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Reloaded. But as of this moment, Treyarch is yet to officially announce any upcoming 6v6 maps.

However, there's a new Black Ops Cold War Mansion map about to release in a new update.

New Call of Duty Games Have Fewer 6v6 Maps

It seems that new Call of Duty games like Cold War and Modern Warfare have fewer 6v6 maps.

This comes after an in-depth graph reveals just how much Multiplayer content each title had throughout its lifecycle.

The detailed chart shows that Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare join Infinite Warfare as being the only COD titles to release with fewer than 10 6v6 maps. What's more, despite Modern Warfare being the lowest content COD until August 2020, Cold War is currently a close second bottom.

Interestingly, some Modern Warfare players actually consider Cold War a downgrade from the 2019 title.

Of course, we currently only have statistics for Black Ops Cold War until March - and there's a new map dropping very soon. But as of right now, Cold War is fitting the chart perfectly, and it's severely lacking in content.

However, this isn't as damning as some users believe. After all, older COD titles do tend to focus on standard Multiplayer, while Cold War and Modern Warfare have expanded their horizons somewhat.

"Bearing in mind this is strictly 6v6 maps," Reddit user IamEclipse writes. "At this point in the lifestyle, modern warfare had well over 20 maps across 6v6, 10v10, gunfight and groundwar. The most content in any cod prior IIRC. They're simply spreading themselves too thin and shooting themselves in the foot"

With Ground War in Modern Warfare and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb in Black Ops Cold War, developers are spreading the games' content out. And to standard 6v6 fans, this can look like the titles aren't holding up when comparing them to older installments.

Now that we have Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard confirmed for 2021, we wonder how this title will stack up.

Right now, we don't know much about what else is coming to Black Ops Cold War, but the game's Season 3 weapons are leaking early. We also know about 8 more 6v6 map remakes that are coming to Cold War's roster.

Hopefully, by the end of the game's lifespan, it'll have more content than any prior Call of Duty. Especially as Activision plans on supporting Black Ops Cold War for 4 years.
