A credible leaker has suggested that two classic Call of Duty maps could be arriving with Black Ops Cold War & Warzone Season 5. Although Season 4 is well underway, players are already looking to the future and to what lies in wait for the next season.
Recently, leaks have been popping up like crazy for the Call of Duty franchise as fans desperately demand more and more content. Although Cold War is steadily approaching the end of its lifespan, this hasn’t stopped the demand for more map content to keep things interesting.
Although Treyarch recently teased their new map update for Cold War Zombies, Mauer Der Toten, regular multiplayer fans have been holding out hope for new and interesting map content for a while now. Despite this, Cold War hasn’t had an abundance of maps over its lifespan, Treyarch’s focus appears to be on remastering existing maps instead.
Although many players aren’t happy with this decision, one reliable leaker has hinted that more classic maps could be on their way for Season 5. Furthermore, this isn’t the only thing COD fans can look forward to. Another Call of Duty leak has teased three exciting titles, including a stand-alone Zombies game.
Cold War Leak Hints At Yemen & Plaza Maps
Recently, news regarding Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War & Warzone has been abundant with players speculating what might be in store. Now, we may have the answer for what players can expect to see in the next season, thanks to a new Cold War leak.
Reliable leaker MW2OG on Twitter has suggested that two classic maps could be appearing for next season. Although, obviously this should be taken with a pinch of salt as currently, this hasn’t been confirmed. However, if correct, Cold War players can expect to battle it out on two beloved map installments.
The Cold War leak itself is vague and to the point, however, the leaker has been reliable in the past. Take a look below at what MW2OG has to say regarding the Cold War leak:
Should be seeing Yemen and/or Plaza for Season 5
Now, it’s important to note that MW2OG has stated that players might be seeing Yemen OR Plaza for Season 5. In fact, it could be that only one map actually makes it to the game. However, despite this players should still be aware that a new map is likely underway for the next big content update.
What do you make of this rumor? Are you looking forward to more remastered maps or do you think Activision should be focusing on brand-new locations?
Similarly, a new Call of Duty Vanguard leak has claimed that another classic COD map could be returning. Perhaps it is time that Treyarch branched out in order to create new and memorable maps, after all, recycling existing content does not push innovation for the franchise as a whole.
Although it could be argued that Treyarch has made some clever moves with the success of Outbreak mode. Interestingly enough, Mauer Der Toten’s boss monster may already have been teased in Outbreak’s main quest.
Finally, Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Alpha has already leaked online, with a brand-new codename. If you’re itching for more information on the next COD installment, we’ve got you covered. We will continue to cover the development of Vanguard and other upcoming COD titles.
