Recently, fans have been requesting a customization feature that is present in many other COD titles. Now, however, new information has surfaced which hints at the return of Gunsmith Customs in Black Ops Cold War.
Black Ops Cold War players have been after a weapon customization feature for a very long time. Interestingly, the previous Call of Duty titles has included this specialized feature, which allows users to fully customize their loadouts.
Now, Cold War fans can rejoice at the news that Gunsmith Customs are coming to the game. Cold War Season 3 weapons have already leaked early too, so there will be an even bigger arsenal to customize.
Gunsmith Customs is a feature that many fans believed should have been in the game at launch. Furthermore, fans are upset that Cold War has less 6v6 Multiplayer content than ever, and that Treyarch's attention appears to be elsewhere.
It's nice to see a highly requested feature make a return. Here's what you'll want to know about the Cold War's Gunsmith Customs feature coming in Season 2.
Cold War Gunsmith Customs Coming Season 2
According to new information, Gunsmith Customs will be making a return to Cold War in Season 2, adding a highly sought-after feature.
The addition of Gunsmith Customs in the game is very exciting for many Cold War fans. This allows players to fully and completely customize their weapons using existing blueprints from the same weapon class.
Do you ever wish you could combine certain cosmetic elements together for a unique-looking weapon? Well, this is something you will be able to do once the feature arrives in a later update for Season 2.
Although the recent and very exciting Cold War Season 2 Reloaded patch notes have just dropped, Cold War's Gunsmith Customs feature will be arriving a little later.
A huge weapon balancing update has completely changed up the way the game will be played. This extremely overpowered assault rifle should no longer pose an issue. However, if you still like the weapon and wanted to mix and match different cosmetics to make it look much better, you can do.
Interestingly, in their latest blog post, Treyarch outlines their plans to introduce this feature:
Later in the season, Gunsmith Customs are coming to Black Ops Cold War, allowing players to mix-and-match attachments from Weapon Blueprints of the same weapon type in Create-a-Class.(Source: Treyarch)
Despite this news, there are some weapon blueprints that players might prefer to leave alone, such as the Bullfrog "pay to lose" blueprint. It appears this one has put some players at a major disadvantage.
Similarly, there are some very cool blueprints, such as Cold War's Tape Deck blueprint, which has this crazy hidden feature. Perhaps you might want to incorporate this look into your own custom weapon designs.
Despite this, it could be too late for Cold War's Gunsmith Customs feature, considering many wanted this feature at launch. Furthermore, It won't be too long until Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard arrives, considering it is allegedly coming in 2021.
Interestingly, Call of Duty: WW2 Vanguard may also return to the Modern Warfare engine, reports suggest. This could signal a huge change for the COD franchise as a whole.
