Black Ops Cold War’s infamous double weapon XP glitch appears to have returned, you may want to hold onto your double weapon XP tokens until the issue is addressed.
Cold War can be a real grind sometimes, luckily the addition of double weapon XP tokens helps to alleviate some of this stress. However, a glitch that was affecting the amount of earned XP players gained after a match appears to be affecting players once more.
Recently, we reported on the Black Ops Cold War double weapon XP glitch which was infuriating players. Many Cold War fans believed they were being cheated, with the tokens behaving in this bizarre way after the match had ended.
However, sadly, the glitch has returned and is haunting players once more. Unfortunately, Black Ops Cold War’s Season 2 Reloaded patch notes may have added in some frustrating bugs on top of this.
Despite this being the first major balancing patch in over 100 days, it looks like Treyarch may have re-introduced some glitches into the mix too. Here is everything you need to know about the appearance of the double weapon XP glitch in Black Ops Cold War.
Cold War Double Weapon XP Glitch Returns
Cold War’s double weapon XP glitch has returned to the game. However, now we are wondering if it was ever really fixed in the first place. Despite this, players are experiencing the woes of having their weapon XP reset after finishing a match.
Interestingly, Treyarch has responded to claims in the past that Cold War weapon XP tokens are broken. Since then, Treyarch allegedly addressed the issue and implemented a fix.
However, some Reddit users have reported that the double weapon XP glitch is affecting them once more. Here is what one Reddit user had to say regarding the issue:
It’s still broken, I’m not surprised. I have tons of them saved up and want to use them but not when this keeps happening.(Source: Reddit)
The issue is that the player’s progress bar for leveling up a weapon appears to be reset after finishing a match. Consequently, this makes any earned double weapon XP useless.
Despite this, the last time this happened, a Cold War double XP token fix was rolled out to affected players. It is likely that Treyarch will implement a similar fix this time around as well.
We recommend paying close attention to your weapon XP, especially after finishing a match. Similarly, hold onto your tokens for the time being until the issue is sorted.
