Recently, rumors have begun circulating that despite saying MW2 would have a two-year development plan, Activision is already planning to reveal Call of Duty 2023 later this year.
When MW2 and Warzone 2 first launched, Activision had stated that they would take an extra year to develop the next iteration in the COD franchise.
But now it seems they will stick to their regular release schedule, and players will have a new Call of Duty title to enjoy later this year.
Possible Call of Duty 2023 Reveal Date & Rumors
Insider-Gaming claims that Call of Duty 2023 is currently set to be revealed on August 1st by “some form of in-game event” in Warzone 2.
Activision already has experience with these sorts of reveals since Vanguard and Cold War had similar in-game events before their announcement.
The Vanguard reveal event had players battle against an iron war train while the sky filled with hundreds of carpet bombers.
During Cold War, players had to complete a series of tasks before finding refugees in the stadium part of the map and seeing dozens of planes flying overhead.

Rumors also state that COD 2023 will see a similar release date to past Call of Duty titles and release on November 10, 2023.
Sledgehammer Games will helm the development of COD 2023, but Activision has yet to confirm any of these rumors.
Insider-Gaming has also claimed to have corroborated these reports with multiple sources, so it seems likely that we’ll see a new Call of Duty announced at the beginning of August.
Among the reveal and release dates, here are a few other previously leaked dates that are essential for the upcoming game.

Will COD 2023 Have Zombies?
The report by Insider-Gaming also states that Call of Duty 2023 will include a Zombies mode at launch.
It is still unclear how exactly the mode will function. Previous reports have stated that it will not be round-based.

This would align with a similar approach that Sledgehammer Games took with Vanguard, but that was met with heavy backlash, and they eventually opted to include round-based maps.
