Cleffa has found its way to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet through the newly introduced location Kitakami Island from The Teal Mask DLC, and here is where you can find it to add this Pokemon to your team.

The Teal Mask DLC features a lot of returning Pokemon, but one of the most iconic ones is Cleffa and its evolution, Clefairy.

Here is where you can find the location of Cleffa in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask DLC in order to complete your Kitakami Pokedex.

Cleffa Location in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask

Cleffa is found around the Oni Mountain area of Kitakami Island, in locations with caves. They are more active at night, which means it’s easier to spot one once the sun sets.

However, the day and night cycle of Kitakami Island won’t unlock until you’ve completed the enter The Teal Mask DLC main campaign. This is why we recommend beating the DLC campaign before trying to complete the Kitakami Pokedex.

The easiest way to catch Cleffa in The Teal Mask DLC after you’ve found its location is to use a Pokemon that knows Sleep. This will allow you to put Cleffa to sleep and make it a lot easier to capture the Pokemon.

How to Evolve Cleffa Into Clefairy

Cleffa evolves into Clefairy when you reach a high Friendship stat with the Pokemon and level it up once. This is why we recommend initially capturing Cleffa with a Friend Ball since it sets the Friendship stat of the Pokemon you capture to 150.

You can obtain a Friend Ball in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet in the following ways:

• Complete the Paldea Pokedex and catch all 250 Pokemon.
• Participate in the Porto Marinada auctions.
• Win the Academy Ace Tournament that you unlock after defeating all 8 Gym Leaders.
• Complete the Kitakami Pokedex and catch all 160 Pokemon.

You can enter the Academy Ace Tournament as many times as you want, so this is the best method to get the Friend Ball. However, this means you’ll need to complete the entire Pokemon Scarlet & Violet campaign.

How to Evolve Clefairy Into Clefable

You need to use a Moon Stone on Clefiary in order to evolve it into Clefable. Once you use a Moon Stone on Clefairy, it will automatically evolve into Clefable without needing to level up.

You can easily find a Moon Stone in the South Province (Area Three) next to a small tree in the canyon area.

If you already used this Moon Stone, then there is also a chance that you can find one in the Asado Desert as a Sparkling Item. Just search the ground for a sparkle and pick it up.

The items that drop from this are completely random, so make sure to pick up all the ones you see to increase your chances of finding a Moon Stone.
