Why Cheating Is So Common in the Vanguard Open Beta

Call of Duty Vanguard is off to a bad start as the game’s Open Beta already has cheating players everywhere.

It’s clear to see that the Call of Duty Vanguard Open Beta has been something of a disaster. While it’s nice to get our hands on a new Call of Duty experience, there are some big issues that need fixing.

First off, players are complaining about Vanguard’s TTK, camping, visibility, and more!

But even those issues pale in comparison to the Vanguard Beta being unplayable on Xbox consoles!

On top of that, more than a few users are reporting lag spikes in the Vanguard Beta, despite having strong internet connections. And Vanguard’s terrible audio is still annoying Call of Duty fans everwhere too.

But the game’s worst issue is probably the abundance of cheaters who are already finding their way into the Open Beta.

Vanguard Open Beta Ruined By Cheaters

It seems that the Vanguard Open Beta is being ruined by cheaters already! But why is cheating so common in Vanguard, without it having launched yet?

According to numerous reports, the Vanguard Beta is already plagued by hackers. Aimbots, wallhacks, and more cheats are already appearing in the Beta, much to the fans’ dismay.

But given that we were expecting a high-end Vanguard anti-cheat coming to Warzone, is the new software not working as intended?

It seems that our dream of a cheater-free Warzone is still very much possible. Reports suggest that Vanguard is currently running the same anti-cheat as Warzone and Modern Warfare in its Beta – rather than the new upgraded security measures.

Unfortunately, that means that Warzone cheaters are able to affect the game as much as they like right now. Some cheating software allegedly has no issue porting Warzone cheats to Vanguard as the two games are so similar.

In fact, a Modern Warfare gun is even appearing in Vanguard, thanks to the copy/pasting of assets! At least right now cheat developers aren’t able to get their hands on the new anti-cheat.

We’ll have to hope that they struggle to deal with it on release day, as we hope to enjoy the new Warzone map with zero hackers.

Unfortunately for Battlefield fans, it seems that Battlefield 2042 also has cheats available even before the Beta!

In other news, it looks as though we’ll be able to customize our killcams in Vanguard‘s full release!
