Here’s how to get your trusty Cetoddle to evolve into the powerful Ice-Type Cetitan in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Generation 9 of Pokemon might have its flaws, but Scarlet & Violet have a lot to offer fans of the long-running franchise. And one of the biggest positives about this generation is that it brings a huge array of iconic new Pokemon to add to our collections.

In your quest to catch ’em all, you’ll need to know how to evolve some of the new creatures that you’re catching. And since not all of them are too obvious, it helps to have a guide to help out.

How to Evolve Cetoddle into Cetitan

Cetoddle will evolve into Cetitan when exposed to an Ice Stone. Simply open your Bag, scroll to Other Items, and select an Ice Stone, then use the item on a Cetoddle in your party to get it to evolve into Cetitan!

The Pokemon does not need to be at a specific level in order to evolve.

This is the only way to evolve Cetoddle, although you can also register Cetitan in your Pokedex via trading with another player, or even catching a wild one!

Where to Get an Ice Stone in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To get an Ice Stone in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, trainers will need to look for shiny glints on the floor in the Glaseado Mountain region of Paldea. Ice Stones can be found as random item drops in this area, which appear as small glints of light.

The items are not for sale anywhere in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Pressing A when standing on top of small glinting lights around Paldea will have your trainer pick up an item from the ground. And when in the icy region of the map, this could well be an Ice Stone!
