Last week Sledgehammer Games announced that a Call of Duty WW2 Christmas Update will be taking place, called the CoD WW2 ‘Winter Siege Event!’ In this update we’ll be seeing a Winter Carentan Map, Rewards and more. Below we’ve gone into more detail on what to expect from this CoD WW2 Christmas Season Event, including information from last years seasonal update – Winter Crash from Modern Warfare Remastered and more.
Call of Duty WW2 Christmas Update (Winter Siege Event)
CoD WW2 Winter Siege starts at 10am PST on Friday, December 8th and ends early January. Winter Siege will introduce the Winter styled Carentan Map and new rewards for players that take part in the seasonal event.
Winter Carentan Map
The Carentan Map from Call of Duty WW2 is being redesigned into a cold and snowy winter of 1944. Sledgehammer have confirmed that this map will be free to all players for a limited time during the event and will be added to all Multiplayer game modes.
Last year for the ‘Tis the Season for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Christmas event, we saw a twelve days of Winter which took place from December 21st to January 1st. In this event each day when the player logged into the game, they’d receive a reward. We imagine that rewards for the Call of Duty WWII Winter Siege event will be something similar to this.
Sledgehammer have only confirmed two things we’ll see in the event so far, the Winter Carentan Map and rewards, with that being said we thought we’d take a more in-depth look into this event and take a look at last years Call of Duty Christmas event.
In the ‘Tis the Season for Call of Duty Infinite Warfare Christmas event last year, we saw a Genesis Holiday Map and Winter Crash from MWR. We’ve made a comparison of Winter Crash before and after which should give us some idea of how this CoD WW2 Winter Carentan Map is planning out.
