Although the multiplayer aspect of Modern Warfare is currently at the center of attention, Infinity Ward has already touched a little on both the campaign and spec-ops portion of the game. Nevertheless, a new update on the official Call of Duty website suggests the single-player story and co-op missions will be revealed soon.
New Modern Warfare Campaign Gameplay or Trailer
While Treyarch left behind the traditional campaign feature in Black Ops 4, fans were previously hesitant about what’s on the horizon. However, Activision confirmed the prospect of a new Campaign back towards the start of the year in an investor meeting.
Since then, Infinity Ward has unveiled the upcoming iteration of the franchise with a first look at the campaign back in May 2019. Fans have generally acclaimed the reveal of Modern Warfare’s campaign, with many delighted with what they’ve seen thus far.
Infinity Ward has only showcased two in-game missions to the press so far, in addition to the public reveal trailer which heavily focused on the campaign.
It seems as if some more footage is on the horizon, however. To begin with, the official Call of Duty website has been updated to feature the following.
“The epic single-player story will be revealed soon.”
In addition to the campaign section of the official site, Infinity Ward’s Studio Narrative Director recently confirmed over on Twitter that either new gameplay or a trailer for the heavily anticipated single-player story will be released soon.
Modern Warfare Co-Op Missions
Infinity Ward has only really discussed the co-op aspect of the game at E3 2019. But now, it seems as if they are preparing an in-depth reveal of the popular
The official spec-ops category of the Call of Duty website has now been updated to state “intense squad-based missions will be revealed soon.”
It’s unclear as to whether they will showcase a brand new trailer fully dedicated to spec-ops or just some gameplay. Infinity Ward did confirm that they will be releasing some 4K footage of Modern Warfare after the Multiplayer
