Infinity Ward’s Studio Narrative Director ‘Taylor Kurosaki’ has debunked reports of a removed Campaign mission in Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
Original Report: Cancelled ‘Cold Beginnings’ Modern Warfare Mission
In a recent video, the popular YouTuber claimed that the very first mission within the game called ‘Cold Beginnings’ (or ‘Cold Zero’) would be canceled entirely, rather than just censored. The mission reportedly allowed you to play as a suicide bomber and blow up after you exit a van.

“There Is No Removed Mission”, Says Taylor Kurosaki
Despite what recent reports may suggest, it appears as though Infinity Ward won’t be removing any Campaign missions within Call of Duty Modern Warfare, nor will they be censoring anything. The confirmation has arrived from Infinity Ward’s Taylor Kurosaki.
In a recent tweet, the developer has debunked prior rumors by confirming that Infinity Ward has not removed any missions from the game.
This isn’t the first time Infinity Ward devs have responded to Campaign censoring reports and speculation either. Kurosaki announced back in June that the team won’t be censoring the Campaign in any way, shape or form.
Although Infinity Ward has no plans of censoring highly controversial aspects, it’s likely they’ll continue to tweak and make changes to the Campaign prior to the launch of the game.
The Campaign was revealed back on March 30, 2019. Infinity Ward will continue to showcase controversial missions, similar to MW2’s ‘No Russian’ mission which allowed you to kill a bunch of innocent civilians in an airport.
Modern Warfare arrives on October 25 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The full Multiplayer reveal for the highly anticipated title is scheduled to arrive on August 1st, 2019.
