The stories behind each of the three currently announced zombies maps in Call of Duty Black Ops 4 have allegedly been leaked by a somewhat reliable source.
The source in question is the Tech Game forum user gcally22, an individual who has previously leaked that the first WWII Zombies map would be located in Mittelberg, and is also the true source behind the recent multiplayer maps leak.
In three separate posts on the Tech Game forums, gcally22 has detailed what is supposedly the story for each of the three maps that have so far been officially revealed by Treyarch themselves.
IX, a map set in the far-flung past of Ancient Rome, is said to follow our four new characters as they are guided by mysterious voices to a cave. Here they drink from a cauldron that provides them with a dream of the past, in which an ancient order with the power to unleash evil on the world is carrying out their nefarious plans. The crew, which gcally22 calls Invictus, have to escape the dream with the knowledge of the ancient order before they are destroyed. In the Easter Egg, you have to both escape from the dream and learn about the artefact which creates the undead, perhaps even discovering where it could be in the characters modern day of 1912.
Voyage of Despair is set after the events of IX. The Invictus group have learned that the artefact they are looking for is on board the Titanic ship, and so they travel to the Titanic to retrieve it. While there they are confronted by what gcally22 calls a bandit, who activates the artefact and transforms everyone on board, save our heroes, into the undead. Throughout the Easter Egg Invictus will battle through waves of Zombies to secure the artefact from a now zombified bandit. By the end of the maps Easter Egg Invictus will have learned that the artefact they have secured is but one of many copies, and they also must be tracked down and destroyed before it is too late.
Last but not least we have Blood of The Dead. In this map, we play as the much loved Primis characters, and according to gcally22 the beginning cutscene to this map is the same trailer that was played at the reveal event. We aren’t offered much in the way of context at the beginning of the map, but as you progress through the Easter Egg it becomes apparent that your characters have not experienced the events of Gorod Krovi or Revelations at this point, and instead this map takes place between Zetsubou No Shima and Gorod Krovi.
Halfway through the Easter Egg, however, you can hear Richtofen begin to speak to each of the characters. This is the Richtofen that has experienced Gorod Krovi and Revelations, and he informs the Past-Primis that they should not go to Gorod Krovi and instead should endeavour to try to break the cycle. At the end of the Easter Egg, after you collect the blood from the Tranzit Crew, you meet up with an even earlier version of Richtofen.
This version of Richtofen is from before Shadows of Evil, and it is at this point that Nikolai tells the even earlier version of Richtofen that the Summoning key is located in Morg City and that a chain of events must be set in motion. Primis then awakens the Tranzit crew and Richtofen tells them that “The Paradox must be resolved”, before leaving through a rift back to Zetsubou No Shima. After Primis leaves you play as the newly awakened Victis with Perkaholic equipped.
That’s a lot of Zombies storyline info to digest, and when it comes to Blood of The Dead it gets particularly confusing if you aren’t well clued into all the events in the story previous. Either way, it should all be taken with a grain of salt as with any other alleged leak, though it is important to note that gcally22 has been correct in the past.
