Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Leak Hints at Return of Capture The Flag (CTF)

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Leak - Capture The Flag (CTF)

It appears that a classic Call of Duty Multiplayer game mode, named ‘Capture The Flag’ (CTF), will be returning in the latest instalment of the franchise. That is, of course, if recent Black Ops 4 leaks are anything to go by.

According to Twitter user @_6foot6short, when scrolling under Action Report on the Intel section of the Call of Duty app, a quote appeared to hint at the return of an all-time Call of Duty classic Multiplayer mode. The screenshot reads as follows:

“Have you tried out Capture The Flag? Seems right up your alley.”

Since the game’s initial launch, Capture The Flag’s absence has caused confusion throughout the entire community. Interestingly, despite the mode’s current non-existence, the message featured on the Call of Duty app appears to be worded in a way that suggests it’s already available.

This note was most likely implemented earlier than expected. Prior to this Black Ops 4 leak, Treyarch probably had plans to release this mode sometime in the near future with the message scheduled for its launch. Whilst their upcoming plans may not have changed, releasing this message early wasn’t in their intentions.

As with all leaks, we must remain sceptical and weary on how legit this information is. As with anything like this, these days we know how easy it is to fake a screenshot. On the other hand however, previous leaks, which have turned out to be true, have surfaced from the CoD app. Whilst there hasn’t yet been any confirmation to corroborate this particular Black Ops 4 leak, Gaming INTEL believes that there’s a good chance of this not being a hoax.

Capture The Flag played an infamous role in Treyarch’s previous Call of Duty titles. CTF was a huge aspect of Black Ops 3, especially considering it was featured in the official competitive rotation. As a matter of fact, besides from being in Treyarch’s previous titles, CTF has played a huge role in the Call of Duty franchise as a whole, being featured in most games.
