Unlike its predecessor, Black Ops 4 Blackout, Call of Duty Warzone does not feature Zombies. Although the popular Battle Royale chose to leave them behind, one player may have discovered a few hints at them.
As discovered by ModernWarzone, it looks like Infinity Ward and Raven Software have included references towards Zombies.
If you head over to Farmland, you should notice a poster on the wall that is seemingly a reference towards them.
In addition to this, Verdansk also includes documents that specifically refer to Spaceland Zombies.
Whether or not this has been there since launch remains unclear, but this discovery is still rather interesting.
Are Zombies Coming to Call of Duty Warzone?
Infinity Ward often introduces new features to Call of Duty Warzone, particularly with the launch of each new season.
Since Zombies are typically a Treyarch thing, it doesn’t appear as though they are coming to the game.
While it seems Warzone will be tied to Treyarch’s next iteration of the Call of Duty franchise in some way, adding Zombies is still a possibility.
Back in May Infinity Ward’s Studio Narrative Director, Taylor Kurosaki, told GamerGen that “Warzone will be the through-line that connects all of the different various sub-franchises of Call of Duty.”
If Zombies launch in COD Warzone, perhaps they will only invade certain areas of Verdansk similar to Blackout.
