Call of Duty Warzone Red Access Card: Everything We Know So Far

Modern Warfare Warzone Red Access Card

Last Updated on

It looks like Infinity Ward has something up their sleeve for Call of Duty Warzone.

As pointed out by Redditors, the latest Modern Warfare patch has introduced a new ‘Red Access Card’ to Warzone. You can find this item throughout the entire map. In addition to that, if you eliminate someone with the item, it seems you can pick it up. The item appears to feature a health or redeployment type of icon.

Although it allows you to pick it up and hold onto it, as of right now it’s unclear as to what this loot item actually does. It doesn’t seem to grant players any special abilities, but it might indicate an upcoming event of some sort.

Is the Red Access Card Hinting at a Special Event?

Since the arrival of this item, players have been heading over to the secret bunkers. Unfortunately, the Red Access Card doesn’t seem to grant players access to the bunkers as of yet, but it could certainly hint towards what’s in store.

While it’s possible for this item to be related to the bunkers in some way, shape, or form, the more likely outcome appears to be a future event.

Infinity Ward has already confirmed the prospect of Fortnite-like events in Warzone, and this special item might be the catalyst to get things started. Although we probably won’t see anything on the scale of Warzone turning into a black hole, the idea of major map changes is certainly possible.

Earlier this month, Infinity Ward updated the main menu animation with the launch of Season 3. This change appeared to indicate map changes around the Dam location. Perhaps if the Dam becomes flooded, this Red Access Card could play a fundamental role within the event.

We’ll have to wait and see what Infinity Ward has in store, but it’s exciting times ahead nonetheless.
