It looks like Infinity Ward will soon update Verdansk in Call of Duty Warzone with new map locations.
That’s according to a recent advertisement from the game’s official Facebook page.
Are New Map Changes Coming to Warzone?
The sponsored post in question mentions “storm new locals” and since Season 4 has not introduced any new map locations except for the new bunker areas so far, this could infer that some map changes are on the horizon.
You can check out the advertisement for yourself in the screenshot below:
Unfortunately, Infinity Ward hasn’t explicitly confirmed these changes as of yet; but that’s not to say we won’t see them.
Although the official roadmap for Season Four doesn’t reference any new map changes, it does mention “and more” next to future content in Call of Duty Warzone. They haven’t specified what this will be, however.
If new map changes are coming soon, it’s unclear as to what they will be.
The company currently has a mid-season update in the works.
While this ad mentions Season 4, it appears these changes will likely be available with the mid-season patch. Of course, that’s assuming this sponsored post is a hint at new locations that are yet to drop.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that mid-season will be the next title update in Modern Warfare.
This patch will address weapon balancing, and more specifically, the Grau 5.56. We’ll have to wait and see what else is in store.
In other news, a new rumor also claims that an entirely new map is coming to Warzone, but that presumably isn’t going to happen anytime soon. From what it seems, the brand new map will be available closer to the launch of Call of Duty 2020.
