Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Leak Teases April 30 Reveal

Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most eagerly-awaited games of 2022, and we might be learning more on April 30.

After a disappointing few months with Call of Duty Vanguard, Modern Warfare 2 is the light at the end of the tunnel for many players. Modern Warfare 2019 was Call of Duty’s return to form, and while not everyone was a fan of Infinity Ward’s game, there’s no denying the impact it had on the franchise.

Now, Modern Warfare 2 is the worst-kept secret in gaming history. While the game is yet to get an official reveal, Activision is confirming that Infinity Ward is working on a new sequel to Modern Warfare for 2022.

In addition, Warzone 2 will be dropping alongside Modern Warfare‘s follow-up, offering a new Battle Royale experience for fans.

And perhaps most interestingly, there will be no Call of Duty mainline release in 2023 at all! We have to hope that MW2 is everything we hoped for, as we’re stuck with it for 2 years.

Reveal Coming for Modern Warfare 2 on April 30?

Now, a new leak for MW2 reveals that we could be getting a Call of Duty reveal on April 30.

If you’re eagerly awaiting the release of Modern Warfare 2 later this year, keep your eyes peeled on the final day of the month.

After all, leaker RalphsValve is hinting at a reveal coming on April 30 – though it won’t be the game’s unveiling. According to the leaker, the official MW2 reveal is still coming in May, but something else appears to be dropping earlier.

In a cryptic new tweet, the RalphsValve teases a countdown to some Modern Warfare 2 content arriving on the final day of this month. Of course, this should be taken with a pinch of salt for now.

In the past, this leaker has also teased a Rainbow Six Siege-esque mode coming to MW2.

They’ve also made the claim that Modern Warfare 2 will contain more remastered maps than ever as DLC. If you’re wondering which MW2 maps will be returning to the game, the leaker is even teasing some popular additions!

Right now, we can’t be sure just how reliable RalphsValve is as a leaker. But with a lot of claims out there so far, we’ll just have to wait until April 30 before passing our verdict.

And as for Warzone 2, it seems like the upcoming Battle Royale has good news for those still asking for an FOV slider…
