Call of Duty: Mobile Celebrates Its First Anniversary With New Content

COD Mobile, which boasts more than 300 million downloads, is preparing to celebrate in a big way.

Call of Duty has been one of the most successful video game franchises for years. Its name is synonymous with excellent results in the market and on the different platforms where it has a presence.

A year ago, Activision and TiMi Studios entered to the complex and competitive mobile sector with Call of Duty: Mobile. As expected, the title made the franchise name weigh there as well.

Since its release, the game has gone from 11 to 27 available maps, its Battle Royale map has grown 50%, with an arsenal that already exceeds 1,400 between main and secondary weapons, and more than 182 characters.

Now, the development team has announced the launch of a new season called Anniversary, which celebrates the game and the great reception it has had.

A limited-time map, Battle Pass and more

Leading the Anniversary season's content, a new Battle Royale map will be available, adapted from Black Ops 4's Blackout mode: Alcatraz.

Alcatraz challenges players to fight for survival, around a replica of the infamous San Francisco Bay prison. Being a smaller map than Isolated, their original BR map, it places a greater focus on close-quarters engagements.

Certain parts of the original and new maps have been modified, adding a unique meeting point known as The Club. Here, players can interact and participate in some mini-games before the battle begins, with custom soundtracks made for the occasion.

Also, the Anniversary's update includes a new Battle Pass with new weapon skins, items, and characters, providing the game with a lot of content for the celebration.

Finally, the new season includes massive changes to the multiplayer modes, adding old fan favorites from the franchises.

Gunfight and 1v1 Duel map known as King, along with Halloween Standoff's return, Team Deathmatch's explosive spinoff Cranked, and 10v10 Kill mode.

Call of Duty: Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices.

This won't be the only one to receive content, since a new Cold War-themed map for Warzone could be coming soon.

Some players are already using Aimbots and Wallhacks on the Black Ops Cold War beta.
