Call of Duty 2021’s Reveal Date Leaks Ahead of Announcement

It's no surprise to hear that we're getting a new Call of Duty this year, but now we know when to expect the reveal.

The Call of Duty franchise is one that enjoys seemingly endless success. That's why when Activision confirmed that Call of Duty 2021 is coming, nobody was too shocked.

However, we've been waiting to hear more about the game ever since the announcement. Now, a new leak is revealing exactly when we might hear more about the upcoming title.

Call of Duty 2021 Details

For a few months now, we've been hearing rumors about Call of Duty 2021 - here's what we know so far:

Call of Duty 2021 will have a World War 2 setting once again, with a developer that should come as no surprise. However, the game will touch on other parts of the war that weren't tackled in the first WW2 title.

We also know that the game will feature boots on the ground combat, with Guerilla Warfare coming into play.

It looks like the long-awaited sequel to Modern Warfare will be coming in 2022 instead. But rumors of a Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Remastered releasing this year are rife, suggesting that Activision may well release two major CoD titles in 2021.

Call of Duty 2021 Reveal Date Leak

According to reputable leaker Tom Henderson, Call of Duty 2021 is expecting a "mid-year" reveal. That means we've got a while to go before we hear more about the upcoming title.

And, just like with Black Ops Cold War, Henderson believes that the new game will first appear inside Warzone.

Going by Cold War's unveiling, an August reveal date seems likely. That gives us plenty of time to speculate while playing Activision's other major titles.

Both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone are getting significant updates in the coming months. Activision's battle royale is about to release its second map, with the nuking of Verdansk.

Meanwhile, Black Ops Cold War Season 2's release brings new weapons to the game, changing up the meta. But it's Black Ops Cold War's Outbreak mode is the star of the show right now.

At least until the next major Black Ops Cold War Zombie map release.
