A new leak for Call of Duty 2021 confirms the upcoming game's World War 2 setting, and which developer is behind the wheel.
It feels like Black Ops Cold War has only just come out, having launched in November 2020. Despite that, all fans are talking about is the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise.
This could be because many perceive Black Ops Cold War to be a downgrade from Modern Warfare. It could also be because the game feels rushed and lacking in content to many users.
Now, we have yet another leaker confirming that Black Ops Cold War's successor will indeed be returning to WW2. And what's more, the developer is exactly who you'd imagine it to be.
Call of Duty WW2 Sequel Confirmed?
As a follow-up to the company's previous launch, it appears that Sledgehammer Games is returning for another Call of Duty World War 2.
Leaker Victor___Z on Twitter revealed an image of Call of Duty WW2, alongside an emoji of a hammer. This leak confirms the insider's knowledge about an upcoming Call of Duty project, being developer once again by Sledgehammer.
What's interesting is that Sledgehammer Games itself may have teased Call of Duty 2021 recently. And despite major speculation, it doesn't look like Call of Duty World War 3 is a possibility.
Victor___Z even replied to one WW3 hopeful, confirming that he'd heard about a Second World War-themed COD.
Meanwhile, fellow leaker Tom Henderson believes there's a very different title for Call of Duty 2021. The user also states that the game will feature Guerilla Warfare before Infinity Ward releases a sequel to Modern Warfare the following year.
Meanwhile, if you're tired of talking about the next COD title, there's still an ongoing game or two to discuss! After all Black Ops Cold War and Warzone's Season 2 trailer just confirmed the update's release date.
