MW2 has added a new Bounty mode that brings a fresh twist to the classic Team Deathmatch. Here is everything you need to know.
Modern Warfare 2 has had a ton of updates since its launch, adding two old-school maps such as Shoothouse and Shipment.
Infinity Ward has also been adding new modes to its latest Call of Duty game with the newest being Bounty.
This mode is similar in style to the fan-favorite Team Deathmatch, however, there is one key difference!
What Is Modern Warfare 2 Bounty Mode?
In MW2 Bounty, a 6 v 6 Team Deathmatch-style game, you take out enemies to score points until the 150-point cap is achieved.
The twist is that the players who have scored the most kills will be classified as an HVT (High-Value Target) and will offer extra points for being killed. The HVT will provide 5 points when killed.
Killing regular enemies will offer just one point, so killing the HVT will be vital in securing the win. Additionally, the High-Value Target will also over double XP when killed.
When you are selected as the High-Value Target, make sure to play slow and close to your team as the enemy will know where you are at all times. The HVT for each team will change every two minutes in the game.
In this mode, it will be difficult to maintain high kill streaks as there will be a good chance you will be selected as the HVT!
