Black Ops Cold War Zombies has another map just around the corner, and we may already be seeing Mauer Der Toten’s boss monster.
We’re nearing the end of Black Ops Cold War’s lifespan, and Treyarch’s title has two Zombies maps and Outbreak mode to show for it. It’s true that Outbreak has been a tremendous success for the Call of Duty franchise, but many players can’t wait to drop back into some standard wave-based survival.
We’ve already seen some teases for Mauer Der Toten in Black Ops Cold War, and the Berlin map has been teased since the launch of Black Ops Cold War. With that in mind, we expect big things from the Season 4 Reloaded update!
But could we already be seeing the main boss monster from Mauer Der Toten in-game? Some players believe so, after a strange creature makes an appearance in the Outbreak Main Quest Easter Egg part 2.
Mauer Der Toten could be Cold War’s final Zombies map too, new reports suggest. One leaker reveals that Treyarch is already working on COD: Vanguard’s Zombies mode, ahead of launch.
Black Ops Cold War Zombies – Mauer Der Toten Boss Monster
There’s a new entity arriving in Black Ops Cold War Zombies which could be Mauer Der Toten’s boss monster.
We already know that Outbreak’s second Main Quest is a prologue to Mauer Der Toten. So when a mysterious and massive creature began to show up in the Easter Egg, it wasn’t hard to connect it to the new map.
Months ago, we saw the reveal of Orda, Firebase Z’s boss, inside Black Ops Cold War’s Die Maschine map. It seems that Treyarch may be once again teasing an upcoming boss fight before its official unveiling.
When you’re on the final step of Outbreak’s second Main Quest, players are tasked with escorting a Modified Rover to the Monument. While you do this, players must stay within a certain energy field, but leaving it reveals a strange, new entity.
Flying around in the background, some users are spotting a mysterious creature in the distance. The figure is difficult to make out, but its form appears to generate lightning as it moves around the map.
“It looks very similar to The Dark Aether Anomalies but it has a mind of its own – it disappears right when you make it to the other side of Sanatorium,” TheGamingRevolution confirms.
Let’s just hope that Mauer Der Toten’s final boss is harder to beat than Orda, as one Firebase Z team took down the boss in just 4 seconds. Since then, Black Ops Cold War Zombies fans have been calling for harder boss battles in the future.
Meanwhile, Black Ops Cold War Season 4 is being called unplayable on PS4 and Xbox One consoles. But there’s not long to go until Activision can drop the title in favor of something new.
