Things are heating up in Black Ops Cold War as Activision confirms the release of yet another new Scorestreak.
When you're racking up kills or playing the objective in Black Ops Cold War, players earn score towards their Scorestreaks. The new system replaces the iconic Killstreak feature and is designed to encourage objective play.
Sadly, it doesn't exactly work that way, as the score for killing sprees is far higher than the score for playing objectives. However, there's no denying that Scorestreaks are still fun to use.
That's why the internet is abuzz with the confirmation of a brand-new Scorestreak, coming to Black Ops Cold War soon. In a new promotional image, Activision confirms the addition of a Scorestreak we predicted was coming to Black Ops Cold War Season 1.
The Flamethrower Scorestreak is Coming to Black Ops Cold War
In a new image, Activision appears to show off a screenshot from the new Raid Black Ops Cold War map. The classic Black Ops location is a returning fan-favorite, and players are happy to see it back in action.
However, there's something more to spot in the image, as one player is brandishing a new piece of weaponry. From what we can see, a Flamethrower Scorestreak is right around the corner, and it looks devastating.
Capable of launching fire at tremendous range, this Scorestreak will be just what you need to clear any objective, and it'll cause havoc in close-quarter combat.
We don't know exactly when this new Scorestreak will come to Black Ops Cold War, but it's likely to be in Season 1. After all, there are more Cold War weapons coming in Season 1, including an insane-looking Sledgehammer.
We imagine that this incoming Flamethrower will soon be joining our list of the best Black Ops Cold War Scorestreaks. We can only hope that the weapon isn't too powerful like some of Black Ops Cold War's most OP guns.
Right now, players can enjoy Double XP in Black Ops Cold War for Christmas. Perhaps Activision is planning on dropping one more Christmas present this holiday season.
