Black Ops Cold War Gunship Glitch Gives a Player Thermal Vision

There's a new Black Ops Cold War Gunship glitch that's giving players thermal vision in-game, for quite the sight advantage.

Black Ops Cold War has always been known for having poor visibility. In fact, ever since the game's beta, Black Ops Cold War players have been complaining about visibility issues to no avail.

To its credit, Treyarch has changed up Miami lately to make it easier to see. And there are a range of settings that you can tweak to fix Black Ops Cold War's visibility for yourself.

But now, a new Cold War Multiplayer glitch is giving players thermal vision in-game, for the ultimate visibility boost. So long as your enemies aren't running Cold Blooded...

Cold War Multiplayer Thermal Vision Glitch

It appears there's a new glitch in Black Ops Cold War that's giving players thermal vision when attempting to use a Gunship Scorestreak.

The Gunship is Black Ops Cold War's most devastating Scorestreak. Thankfully you have to rack up an insane 10,000 points in order to use it in-game.

When an enemy calls in a Gunship, it's practically game over for your team. But this new glitch is giving the Cold War Scorestreak a rather different experience.

It seems that opening the Gunship streak too soon after a Chopper Gunner may lead to some negative side effects. That was certainly the case for Reddit user bryanhun64 who gets immediately thrown out of the Gunship moments after activating it.

We've actually seen glitches making the Black Ops Cold War Gunship useless for months now. But this is the first time we've seen what happened next...

The user then finds that, despite not being able to use one of Black Ops Cold War's best Scorestreaks, they're given a rather different bonus. For the remainder of the game, the Cold War player has thermal vision, allowing them to see enemies highlighted in white, even through smoke.

Unlike a thermal sight, the user doesn't even need to ADS to make use of this new ability. Unfortunately, the game ends before they can do too much damage to the enemy team.

The Gunship isn't the only powerful Cold War Scorestreak to become useless, however. Obviously, in this case, the player would still have preferred to finish the game in style, rather than be given some overpowered vision.

In case you missed it, some of Black Ops Cold War's Season 3 weapons just leaked online early. Fans are already hype for the return of a Call of Duty classic - and we can't blame them.

And the patch notes are here for Black Ops Cold War's March 25 update.
