There’s a new shotgun in the game, but players are having trouble unlocking it. Here’s how to fix your bugged Streetsweeper challenge in Black Ops Cold War.
The Streetsweeper is Black Ops Cold War’s latest weapon to unlock, and players are having issues getting their hands on it. The devastating shotgun boasts incredible firepower at close range, making it a must-have for any Nuketown fan.
What’s more, it has a speedy rate of fire, allowing players to shred through multiple enemies with no issue. The only real disadvantage is the weapon’s lengthy reload speed.
Although players are already calling for a Streetsweeper buff in Black Ops Cold War Zombies, the weapon is great for Multiplayer. This makes it all the more frustrating that the Streetsweeper unlock challenge is bugged and refusing to unlock for many Cold War players.
Thankfully, there’s a fix for this common issue, which arrives alongside the Black Ops Cold War Mid-Season 1 update.
How to Unlock the Streetsweeper in Black Ops Cold War
To unlock the Streetsweeper in Black Ops Cold War, players are tasked with going on a 3 kill streak with shotguns in 15 separate games. However, users are reporting that full progress bars, having accomplished their tasks, and the Streetsweeper is refusing to unlock.
The solution is a simple one, but it’s sure to cause some players a fair bit of annoyance. Players report that once attaining a 3 kill streak with your shotgun of choice, you must then remain in the match until it ends.
Should you leave early, your challenge bar will register your progress, but the Streetsweeper will stay locked. Only when all 15 games are complete will you have access to the weapon.
Players had similar issues when unlocking the Black Ops Cold War Sledgehammer. It seems that Treyarch is yet to fix the Cold War challenges, much to the disappointment of fans.
Thankfully, it looks like new content is on the way to the game already. Perhaps Treyarch is too busy making the new Black Ops Cold War Zombies content for 115 Day to fix the bugged Streetsweeper unlock.
But if you’re deciding that Cold War isn’t your thing, don’t worry. After all, Modern Warfare’s player count is still massive, despite a lack of new content.
