Black Ops Cold War Double XP Token Fix Offers Refunds to Players

Black Ops Cold War's Double XP token fiasco finally comes to an end, as Treyarch officially announces a fix for the long-running issue.

Every used a Double XP token in Black Ops Cold War only to realize that it wasn't doing much at all? You're not the only one.

Recently, players discovered that their Cold War Double XP tokens were completely broken in-game. Using these consumable items would still remove them from your inventory, but with no added benefit to be seen.

Despite frequent complaints, it took some time for developer Treyarch to acknowledge the situation. Finally, the developer promised to look into Black Ops Cold War's broken XP tokens just the other day.

Now, fans finally have a solution for their Double XP token woes in Cold War - but it's not making everyone happy.

Black Ops Cold War Double XP Token Issue Fixed

On the Black Ops Cold War Trello board, Community Manager Josh Torres reveals that a fix for the Double XP token issue is on the way. And there's good news for those affected by the bug too.

Not only will Double XP tokens return to their former glory, but Treyarch is also promising that those that used them will receive refunds.

"Players who redeemed Double Weapon XP and Double XP tokens from 12:00 am/PT on March 11th, 2021 to 6:00 pm/PT on March 18th, 2021 will have those tokens refunded. This process will be automatic and will not require outreach to Activision Player Support."

Don't forget that you can get some free Double XP and exclusive items in Black Ops Cold War by following these steps.

Lately, there's another major Black Ops Cold War issue that's grating on players. In case you missed it, the new Cold War Crossbow released early in-game.

But now Treyarch is removing the Black Ops Cold War Crossbow for some players, even those who bought the store bundle. What's bizarre is that some users still have the Season 2 weapon and others don't.

Which is particularly frustrating as the R1 Shadowhunter is easily one of the best weapons in Cold War Zombies.

It looks like we'll have to wait until Black Ops Cold War Season 2 Reloaded to see Cold War's next major update. Thankfully, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 3 is just around the corner!
