Black Ops Cold War R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow Has A Huge Problem

Black Ops Cold War players have discovered a major problem with the R1 Shadowhunter crossbow. The weapon has a serious and game-changing flaw which is taking some of the thunder out of the new addition.

The R1 Shadowhunter crossbow is a weapon that many Black Ops fans are excited for. The crossbow has been a staple of the Black Ops series for a long time.

Now, however, players have discovered that it might not actually be as good as they think, especially in Black Ops Cold War. A new problem has been uncovered that puts players at a huge disadvantage, here's what you need to know.

Cold War R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow Major Problem

Interestingly, Cold War's R1 Shadowhunter crossbow is not currently available to most players. In a recent update, Treyarch accidentally added the weapon to the game, and then promptly removed it.

Understandably, Treyarch's R1 Shadowhunter crossbow mistake has angered players. Many were excited to get their hands on the weapon early.

However, Treyarch has now implemented a change in Cold War making the crossbow easier to unlock for some players. Which has done a little to alleviate player's frustration.

The weapon itself should have been removed for most players, however, there is a small minority that still has access and is currently using it. Treyarch appears to have slipped up with removing the weapon in its entirety. Those that do have it are currently testing the weapon out.

Whilst Cold War's crossbow is still accessible for some players, this is leading to some new and interesting discoveries about how the weapon stacks up in-game.

Whereas many are saying Cold War's removed crossbow is overpowered in Zombies mode, it appears that this isn't the case for Multiplayer matches.

The issue itself concerns how the bolts interact with other objects in the game. The Reddit community is currently hard at work discussing the state of the game, including the new weapon and how well it matches up versus other weapons.

However, their findings are rather interesting. It appears as though Cold War's crossbow has a huge problem with how it interacts with other player's Trophy Systems.

The issue players are finding is that crossbow bolts can actually be destroyed by the Trophy System. It is unclear yet whether this is intentional or a huge issue that needs to be addressed before the crossbow is added into the game for other players.

It would certainly be a crazy counter for the crossbow if left in this state. Furthermore, not only does this guarantee that you won't be able to secure a kill on an enemy but it's a good way to protect yourself from other crossbow users.
