Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is set to receive another incredible seasonal update, according to a leaker who has already revealed what’s in store.
Black Ops 6 Zombies is off to a tremendous start, with four round-based maps already present in the game as of the Season 2 update.
But when Season 3 arrives, it appears that Treyarch isn’t about to let its players have some breathing room just yet.
Now, one leaker has revealed everything we can expect in the third season of Black Ops 6 Zombies, including a new map, as well as a returning Perk, Field Upgrade, and Ammo Mod.
Black Ops 6 Season 3 Content
According to reliable Call of Duty leaker realityuk_, Black Ops 6 Zombies is set to launch its next map in Season 3.
Right now, all leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, however, this does match up with the recent leak by another trusted source that stated every remaining season except one will have a new Zombies map.
The Season 3 Map
Although realityuk_ didn’t have any details to reveal regarding the new map’s setting, we do already know where we’ll likely be heading.
After all, in The Tomb’s final cutscene, the ex-Requiem members are told to head back to Liberty Falls and find Eddie Richtofen’s mansion. This setting was shown in the Liberty Falls intro cinematic, and is actually visible from the West Virginian map too.
The mansion is also the home to S.A.M., the Synaptic Algorithm Module that is based on Samantha Maxis. According to S.A.M., our newly-acquired Sentinel Artifact must be infused with unique materials that can only be harvested at Liberty Falls.
Therefore, we must return to the mansion if we want any chance of saving Samantha Maxis.
Returning Perk
According to the leaker, we’ll either be getting Double Tap or Tombstone alongside the Season 3 map. These are both returning Perks from COD Zombies history, so we already know what they do:
- Double Tap Root Beer: Increases rate of fire by 33%, and allows faster equipment deploys and weapon re-chambering. Double Tap 2.0 also doubled weapon damage.
- Tombstone Soda: Players can drop a Tombstone when downed, allowing them to instantly die and retrieve all their weapons and Perks from the Tombstone the following round.
Of course, with the addition of Augments, the Perks could see some extra benefits too!
Many fans were frustrated that Tombstone wasn’t the Perk that dropped alongside The Tomb, given how it would have thematically made sense.
Meanwhile, Treyarch has seemingly been teasing Double Tap coming to Black Ops 6 for months! The leaker states that Double Tap already has Augments linked to it, so that’s the most likely candidate for Season 3, with Tombstone coming at a later date.
An Icy Field Upgrade Returns
The leak also reveals our new Field Upgrade in Season 3 will be none other than Cold War Zombies’ Frost Blast.
- Frost Blast: Creates an icy storm in a circle around the player, slowing and freezing zombies that enter the radius.
Partner the frosty upgrade with the upgraded Ice Staff on The Tomb map and you’ll permanently keep all nearby zombies in a solid state.
Explosive Ammo Mod
If the leaker is correct, our next Arsenal enhancement will be Shatter Blast, which should prove to be a great way of keeping the undead hordes at bay:
- Shatter Blast: Makes all bullets deal explosive damage with a chance to deal additional damage and destroy impacted armor with an explosion.
Whenever enemies group up closely in high rounds, Shatter Blast could be the best way to thin the crowds.
For now, be sure to take all leaked information with a pinch of salt, but it’s worth nothing that realityuk_ has a good track record when it comes to Call of Duty.
The leaker didn’t reveal anything about the upcoming weaponry, but we’re pretty sure we already know what the mansion’s Wonder Weapon will be!
