Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fans believe that Liberty Falls is in dire need of a Christmas makeover this festive season.
By now, most Black Ops 6 Zombies fans have gotten used to the game’s two launch maps: Terminus, and Liberty Falls.
It’s a good thing that we won’t be waiting long for more undead survival content. In fact, the next Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, releases in just a few more days!
But alongside a new map, there’s something else on Zombies fans’ Christmas lists – a festive makeover!
Liberty Falls Needs a Christmas Update
Black Ops 6 players over on the COD Zombies subreddit are asking Treyarch to add a Christmas theme to Liberty Falls, adding holiday decorations to the West Virginian town setting.
Several popular posts on the Zombies forums are calling on the developer to add some festive cheer to Liberty Falls, which does seem like the perfect setting to decorate for the holiday season.
Abominations could be dressed up to resemble reindeer, and the motel would look great with some Christmas lights decorating the roof. The question is, would the map be renamed Liberty Halls or Liberty Bells?
The Easter Egg-filled map could even get some new secrets for its holiday variant, giving players even more to discover amidst the undead outbreak.
Why Fans Might Get Their Wish
We’d say there’s a good chance that the developer has at least considered adding a festive theme to one of its launch maps. After all, the team’s last title, Black Ops Cold War, added a Christmas makeover to its first map, Die Maschine, just in time for the holidays.
In the ‘Jingle Hells’, map variant, players would encounter a snowy Christmas wonderland, complete with presents that could drop random rewards such as weapons.
Players could gather snowballs to throw at the undead to slow them (or coal to do damage). Taking out snowmen found around the map would spawn zombies, or drop presents, and a new Naughty or Nice Power-Up gave you a chance to either earn a reward or spawn in Plaguehounds.
Even the four-legged enemies had a makeover, becoming reindeer, complete with glowing red noses and antlers.
Treyarch also worked on Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies mode, where it added a few holiday decorations to Der Anfang’s spawn area for the holiday season.
However, fans weren’t impressed with the overall lack of effort put into filling the map with festive cheer. Therefore, Treyarch will likely go all-out with its Christmas decorating – or forgo it entirely.
For now, we’ll have to wait until the Season 1 Reloaded patch notes arrive later this week to find out whether Liberty Falls is getting the makeover we’re hoping for!
