Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies players are discussing how much they miss one classic Perk – but the good news is, it might already be teased to return!

Black Ops 6 Zombies already has two maps for players to explore, with one more experience just around the corner.

For those who haven’t been keeping up with Treyarch’s newest release, a new round-based Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, is releasing next week!

With it, we’re getting a new Ammo Mod, Field Upgrade, and even a new Perk-a-Cola! And, if Black Ops 6 fans had their way, it’s clear which Perk they’d pick to return.

Black Ops 6 Players Want Double Tap to Return

Over on the COD Zombies subreddit, Black Ops 6 players are voicing their support for the return of Double Tap Root Beer.

For those new to the series, Double Tap increases a weapon’s rate of fire by 33%, allowing all guns to be fired at an increased rate.

It also allows players to use equipment faster, and operate bolt-action or pump-action weapons noticeably quicker.

Later down the line, a variant of the Perk called Double Tap 2.0 would double your bullet damage outright, making it one of the best Perks to get your hands on in-game.

This Perk-a-Cola first featured all the way back in World at War, as part of the original Call of Duty: Zombies experience.

Despite Double Tap appearing in Black Ops 1, 2, and 3, it hasn’t been seen in a mainline title since 2015. Of course, GobbleGums have also been missing in action for that long, before they returned triumphantly in Black Ops 6.

And there’s some evidence to suggest that Double Tap will be making a similar comeback…

Why Double Tap May Return

Some players believe that Treyarch could be hinting at Double Tap returning in Season 1 Reloaded or beyond, thanks to a new store bundle.

The Mastercraft: Idead Tracer Pack bundle contains a Zombies-inspired set of cosmetics, including a Weapon Blueprint known as the Big Boomer.

Not only does the shotgun Blueprint contain a Juggernog can as its muzzle, but it also contains a reference to the Double Tap Perk on the forearm.

And that’s not all! While one reference could simply be an Easter Egg, there are not one but two teases at the Perk’s return within the same bundle!

The Operator skin for Weaver contains various vials of Perk-a-Cola strapped around his waist. And while Double Tap isn’t one of them, eagle-eyed fans have spotted the Double Tap Root Beer Perk’s logo hanging from the soldier’s keychain!

If the Perk does return in Black Ops 6 Zombies, Double Tap will also come with six Augments (three major, three minor) that let players upgrade the Perk and change the way it operates.

Therefore, this classic Perk may be the strongest version of Double Tap yet!
