If you’re still grinding player levels in Black Ops 6, make sure you take advantage of this trick to get unlimited Double XP in Zombies mode!
The grind to Prestige Master is a long one in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but there are certain tricks that players can use to make things easier.
For example, Treyarch will periodically offer Double XP weekends, which also offer twice the Weapon XP and GobbleGum drop rates, that are unmissable for those looking to level up.
But even when a Double XP weekend is not live, there’s still a way to grind levels at twice the speed in Black Ops 6 Zombies!
Get Double XP in Black Ops 6 Zombies
The best way to level up in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is to play until you reach Round 31, and then activate a Double XP token right before successfully exfilling.
The most frustrating thing about Double XP tokens is that they’re only active for a limited time. For example, the Double XP available when purchasing select cans of Monster Energy will only grant players 15 minutes of double grinding time in total – and it even ticks down during the time between games!
However, players have discovered that activating Double XP right before the end of your Zombies game will, in fact, double the entirety of your total XP from that game!
Here’s how it works in-game:
The Double XP Method
- First, load into a game of Black Ops 6 Zombies
- This can be done on any map, although we find surviving against the undead the easiest on Liberty Falls.
- Reach the highest round you feel comfortable surviving until. We recommend not going any higher than Round 31 as XP gains start to drop off significantly and zombies get much harder to kill from here.
- Make sure you have a Chopper Gunner Scorestreak by this point.
- If you don’t find one using Loot Keys or as drops from boss zombies, you can craft one at the Crafting Table using Salvage.
- On an Exfil round, interact with the highlighted radio to summon the extraction chopper.
- Then, make your way to the extraction zone.
- Now pause the game and activate your Double XP token from the bottom of the pause menu. This will begin your 15-minute countdown timer, during which time you’ll be earning Double XP.
- Activate your Chopper Gunner Scorestreak to clear out the zombies nearby and allow for extraction.
- Enter the Exfil chopper and make your escape!
You’ll now see yourself gain the regular amount of XP in the post-match summary, before Double XP kicks in and everything multiplies by two!

With this Double XP trick, we can confirm that we were able to gain a whopping 60,000 XP from a single game of Black Ops 6 Zombies – without having a token active the entire time!
Of course, it takes some time to reach Round 31, and there’s certainly an argument to be made that Multiplayer is the fastest way to level up instead. But if you’re more of a Zombies fan, this is a great way to ensure that you’re doubling your gains every single game.
On top of that, it’s also a good way to ensure your Double XP tokens don’t go to waste, counting down in Multiplayer menus between games!
