One Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player shares their experience being disconnected from the game servers during the final moments of the Terminus boss fight.
Black Ops 6 Zombies has one of the most insane Main Quest bosses in the series’ history, but sometimes the real boss fight is between you and the Activision servers.
Since Black Ops 6 requires a constant internet connection in order to play, losing connection to the game servers is enough to boot you back to the lobby.
And what’s worse, your progress in Zombies mode isn’t saved either – which made one user very frustrated as they got an error in the very final moments of the Terminus boss fight.
Losing Connection in the Terminus Patient 13 Fight
In what might possibly be the most frustrating clip of Black Ops 6 we’ve seen to date, Reddit user The_Beast_Rage shows off the conclusion of their Solo Terminus run.
After making it to Round 27 and completing all of the Terminus Easter Egg steps alone (which is certainly no easy feat), the COD Zombies player had only the map’s final boss standing between them and their rewards.
Hoping to earn both the Trophy Collector skin for Maya and the Terminus Quest Complete Calling Card, the user whittled down Patient 13’s health until only a sliver remained.
However, as they repositioned using the water to avoid incoming enemies, their game began to glitch.
After a few seconds, the screen displayed the following error message: “Lost connection to Host/Server. Connection timed out.”
And that spelled the end of their run.

To make matters worse, the Zombies fan wasn’t playing on Directed Mode, which holds your hand through each Easter Egg step and caps the game at Round 15. All their progress was in Standard Mode, which means it no doubt took well over an hour to reach the final fight.
The game doesn’t even save your progress from the start of the round, which would be a good workaround to help disconnected players. Instead, you simply get nothing for your time, and you have to start again.
It seems that the final boss of Terminus can’t even compete with the difficulty of connecting to the game’s servers.
For those wondering, Activision claims that its always online requirement is due to the use of high-resolution texture streaming. We’re certain that players would be okay with an optional download to install the superior textures to avoid this sort of issue in future.
But at the very least, give this player their well-earned rewards!
