A new update has rolled out for Black Ops 6 Zombies, providing major fixes for the Citadelle des Morts map while removing some popular exploits.
On December 5, Treyarch dropped the long-awaited Season 1 Reloaded update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Not only did this add a large helping of new Multiplayer content, but it also gave us our first new Zombies DLC map! Citadelle des Morts might even be a new fan favorite, but it certainly has its fair share of bugs to contend with.
And after a week of exploiting Citadelle des Morts’ issues, Black Ops 6 Zombies players are now going to have to start playing it legitimately, thanks to the latest patch.

Major Citadelle des Morts Fixes
First, let’s dive into exactly what major bugs and exploits came to Citadelle des Morts in the new patch:
Sword Quest Fixes
- Fixed too many enemies spawning during Caliburn quest
- Fixed players getting stuck in the Sanctuary during Solais quest
- Also resolved an issue with light symbols responding to splash damage in Solais quest
For those that somehow weren’t aware, you can craft four different elemental swords in Citadelle des Morts, each one cooler than the last.
But the sword quests were notoriously buggy for some users, which is why Treyarch has seen fit to take action.

The Guardian Boss Fight Fixes
- Reduced how much damage The Guardian boss takes from certain melee weapons
- The Main Quest boss will no longer die in one hit
- Idle Eyes will not freeze the Easter Egg boss forever
The December 11 patch goes a long way toward fixing the issues with the Citadelle des Morts boss fight, which was one of the more bug-filled aspects of the new Black Ops 6 Zombies map.
No longer will players be able to exploit Black Ops 6’s surprisingly overpowered melee weapon to destroy the fight in seconds.
On top of that, now completing the entire Citadelle des Morts Main Quest won’t suddenly leave you with a boss that refuses to fight back.

However, the developer will update its progress on solving issues over on the Black Ops 6 Trello Board, so be sure to check it and see if your problem is on the company’s radar!
