Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to arrive on October 25, but is Treyarch’s shooter going to get full integration with Warzone?
If you’re a fan of Activision’s Battle Royale, you may or may not be excited for its annual integration with new Call of Duty titles. Historically, a new COD game taking over Warzone has been a mixed bag.
Yes, integrating a new annual release with the BR can bring new maps, guns, and mechanics to the game. However, if you’re someone who enjoys how Warzone feels right now, you might not want the title to change too drastically.
We’ve got everything you need to know about Black Ops 6’s Warzone integration below:
Is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Coming to Warzone?
Yes, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will fully integrate with Warzone at the beginning of Season 1 later this year.
An exact date for Season 1’s launch is yet to be announced, but we expect it to arrive in November 2024.
At this point, all of Black Ops 6’s weapons and Operators will be added to Warzone – in addition to the Battle Royale’s existing roster.

All of your current Warzone content will remain in the game, including your Modern Warfare 2 and 3 guns, as well as skin unlocks.
However, Black Ops 6 does not support Carry Forward (except for the Frank Woods pre-order skin), meaning that your MW2/MW3 content will not be available in BO6 Multiplayer or Zombies.
Is Black Ops 6 Getting a Warzone Map?
Yes, Black Ops 6 Season 1 will launch alongside a new Warzone Resurgence map called Area 99.
Set around the Echo Ridge Weapons Station in the Nevada desert, Area 99 is a top-secret government site close to the original Nuketown map.

With Area 99, Treyarch attempted to capture the vibes of Nuketown’s gameplay, and apply it to various POIs across the map. The Resurgence map is similar in size to Rebirth Island, and will therefore only appear in small BR modes.
However, at COD NEXT, Activision also confirmed that the rumors were indeed true, and Verdansk is getting a remaster for Black Ops 6.
The original Warzone Battle Royale is set to return in Spring 2025, which should mean it’ll launch between March and June next year.

That means that we’ll be stuck with Urzikstan for a while yet, but soon players will be able to revisit the glory days back on the OG map.
New Changes Coming to Warzone
But it’s not just the map and weapons that will be changing in Warzone when Black Ops 6 arrives:
Omnimovement
Players will also have access to Treyarch’s powerful new Omnimovement system, which allows them to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction they choose.

After the Black Ops 6 Beta, it was clear that Omnimovement was a little too overpowered, leading some fans to hope that Treyarch will be changing the system before the game officially launches.
Perks and Wildcards
In addition, Perks are getting a total rework, with players being able to pick three Black Ops 6 Perks to add to their loadout – and loot Perks from eliminated enemies too!
The return of Wildcards in your loadouts is also going to be key when it comes to dominating the Warzone meta.

After all, those with the Gunfighter Wildcard can equip three additional attachments to their primary weapon. This will likely allow users to craft some extraordinary builds, and we shudder to think about how strong the best weapons in the game will become.
Backpacks
For those who hated Warzone ‘2’ due to its change to storage, you’ll be happy to hear that backpacks are being completely removed alongside Black Ops 6’s integration.

Instead, Warzone players will be able to easily find items in their inventory, which will return to the original style seen during the Battle Royale’s launch.
Players can increase their inventory capacity by looting Armor or Munitions Satchels, but the concept of backpacks will be gone for good.
Prestige
And, of course, Classic Prestige is also set to arrive alongside Black Ops 6 integration.
Fans who hit the maximum level in Black Ops and Warzone’s shared progression will be able to enter Prestige – resetting their level and unlocks back to level 1.

Thankfully, you can choose to keep a weapon or two around using Permanent Unlock tokens, allowing you to flex your Prestige level without losing your meta build.
