It turns out that there’s a secret to discover with the two Black Ops 6 Zombies map introduction cinematics, as fans discover a connection between Terminus and Liberty Falls!
If you’re just starting to pay attention to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, you may have missed some of the best map teasers in Zombies history.
Treyarch is dropping two Zombies maps on day one, giving undead survival fans multiple brand-new experiences to explore when Black Ops 6 arrives.
And while we always knew that Terminus and Liberty Falls take place simultaneously, it seems even the events of their intro cinematics line up perfectly!
The Connection Between Terminus & Liberty Falls
Fans have discovered that when playing the Terminus and Liberty Falls trailers side-by-side, the two Black Ops 6 Zombies maps are even more connected than we thought!
During the recent Liberty Falls intro cinematic, Edward Richtofen battles his way to the West Virginian town’s Project Janus facility, while over on Terminus Island, the Requiem members are being broken out of prison.
However, a really interesting connection comes at the end of the cinematic, when Samantha Maxis reveals that she is already free from Richtofen’s control.
The moment Sam makes her grand entrance, revealing that she’s not as helpless as the Requiem Director had thought, a dimensional breach also opens on Terminus.
This indicates that Maxis was simply waiting for the right time to unleash her power, creating an interesting parallel between the two cinematics.
How Long Has Samantha Maxis Been Free?
We saw a similar purple energy-based entity kidnap Dr Ava Jansen in the final MW3 Zombies cinematic too, after the doctor thinks she hears Samantha Maxis’ voice.
But since those events took place around 30 years after the events of Terminus and Liberty Falls, either time travel is involved, or Samantha will be free for some time yet!
For those wondering about timings, it’s worth noting that the trailers state that the Terminus outbreak takes place on February 19, 1991, at 3 AM. Meanwhile, Liberty Falls takes place on February 18, 1991, at 3 PM.
But as Reddit user No-Photograph6152 rightfully points out, there are exactly 12 hours time zone difference between West Virginia, USA, and the Philippines.
Therefore, the events of both trailers appear to line up perfectly!
