Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 just added a brand-new, limited-time event that lets players add a power tool to their loadouts.
In the Hit List event, players need to rack up eliminations across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, both as individuals and as part of the broader community.
And if you want to get acquainted with the new Power Drill, you’ll need to put in some legwork.
How to Unlock the Power Drill in Black Ops 6
To unlock the Power Drill in Black Ops 6, users need to earn 1000 Elimination points across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone while the Hit List event is live.
Players can earn Elimination points in the following ways:
- Multiplayer: 1 Point per Elimination
- Zombies: 1 Points per 5 Eliminations
- Warzone: 5 Points per Elimination
Unless you’re a Warzone fiend, we believe that the easiest way to grind Eliminations is in Zombies mode. Get to a high round in Terminus or Liberty Falls, and you’ll easily rack up hundreds of Elimination points in no time.
The Hit List event comes to an end on Thursday, December 5, 2024, giving players just two weeks to unlock all of its rewards..
After that point, we imagine that the Power Drill will be available for completing an in-game challenge – but this is yet to be confirmed.
Alternatively, players can instantly unlock the Power Drill by purchasing the Hell’s Cleaner Bundle.
This new bundle costs 1400 COD Points, and comes with the Kill Bit Weapon Blueprint for the Power Drill, alongside other cosmetic unlocks.
Why Is the Power Drill So Good?
The reason that Black Ops 6 Zombies players are finding the Power Drill so powerful is due to its attack speed.
Although the Power Drill deals slightly lower damage than the Combat Knife after being upgraded, it hits much faster than both the Knife and Baseball Bat.
When upgraded to Legendary rarity and Pack-a-Punched to Tier 3, as well as used in conjunction with Melee Macchiato, the Power Drill can deal an incredible 55,000 damage per swipe.
Of course, melee weapons won’t ever be as powerful as Black Ops 6 Zombies’ best guns. But if you’re a fan of close-quarters combat, this is one weapon you won’t want to miss out on!
