Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 just added another Pay-to-Win GobbleGum store bundle that’s far more expensive and contains even more consumable items.
In 2024, GobbleGums made their long-awaited return, having not been seen in a COD Zombies installment since Black Ops 3 in 2015.
Although the consumable items are a popular part of Zombies history, they were seen as Pay-to-Win back in Black Ops 3 due to how they were acquired. Back then, fans had to spend Liquid Divinium (a currency that was acquired faster using COD Points) in Dr Monty’s Factory to earn a random GobbleGum.
In Black Ops 6, Treyarch made earning GobbleGums far quicker and easier, alleviating the Pay-to-Win concerns. However, the developer’s recent additions to the COD Store certainly bring back a certain feeling of nostalgia.
More Pay-to-Win GobbleGums in Black Ops 6
Treyarch just added a new GobbleGum bundle in the Black Ops 6 store, and it’s the most expensive one yet.
For 2000 COD Points (~$20 USD), players can get their hands on ‘Der Wunderpack’ bundle, which contains three copies of some of the most powerful GobbleGums the game has to offer.

Der Wunderpack Contents
Here’s what’s inside the new bundle, which costs twice as much as a Black Ops 6 Battle Pass:

| Hidden Power | 3 | Ultra | Upgrades Your Current Weapon to Legendary Rarity |
| Perkaholic | 3 | Ultra | Gives You All Perks in the Map |

A Step in the Wrong Direction?
Compared to the 1100 COD Point GobbleGum Master Store Bundle, this new offering provides three times the consumables for twice the price.
In some ways, that makes it a decent deal, but some fans may find it concerning that Treyarch is beginning to ramp up its Pay-to-Win content in Zombies.
Of course, players can still earn GobbleGums through standard gameplay. Simply by completing Rounds in Black Ops 6 Zombies, users have a random chance of acquiring the consumable items.

However, while you can earn all GobbleGum tiers through standard gameplay, getting your hands on a specific GobbleGum is impossible. You just have to hope that you’ll earn the one you want, and of course, it’s less likely that your drop will be an Ultra-tier GobbleGum.
On top of that, recent Double XP weekends appear to have ditched the Double GobbleGum earn rates that they initially offered.
It’s hard not to see this as a way of nudging people towards Store Bundles, which are growing ever more expensive. Hopefully, Treyarch will add more ways for players to earn powerful GobbleGums in the future, without spending cash.
