Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has introduced a new Omnimovement mechanic but Beta players think it could already use a nerf.

The Black Ops 6 Beta has been live for less than a day and already fans are finding more than a few things to complain about.

While many users have been enjoying their time with Treyarch’s shooter, others have already written the game off as being not for them.

And there’s one key reason as to why:

Omnimovement Need a Nerf

We’re only a matter of hours into the Black Ops 6 Beta, and the complaints regarding Omnimovement are already flooding in.

Treyarch’s new movement mechanic allows players to sprint, dive, and slide in any direction. However, as much as it does leave you feeling like an action hero, the movement tech is already proving challenging to counter.

Just check out this clip from Swagg, a professional Call of Duty player who comes up against an impossible-to-track dive and instantly dies.

In the example above, the player who dives using Omnimovement has a massive advantage, racing across Swagg’s screen and deleting him before he can react.

And if that example wasn’t ridiculous enough for you, check out this compilation of Omnimovement craziness that’s doing the rounds on TikTok.

Bear in mind that all this footage was recorded and uploaded less than a day after players first got their hands on Black Ops 6. In a few more months, who knows how crazy the movement tech will get?

And with Omnimovement coming to Warzone, fans will need to get ready to experience a much faster-paced Battle Royale too.

How Can Omnimovement Be Nerfed?

We’re certain that Treyarch isn’t going to just remove an integral part of the game (and we wouldn’t want them to), but Omnimovement is clearly in dire need of adjusting.

But how can the developer tweak the movement mechanic without making it completely worthless?

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Beta Omnimovement Diving

We’d say that a reduction to the amount of distance you can cover with a dive would be a good start. Diving could also use a speed decrease, giving players a way to counter it in combat.

Alternatively, Treyarch may opt to give diving a cooldown period, or make players stay on the ground for a brief window upon landing, in order to make it more of a high-risk, high-reward maneuver.

Whatever the case, we’re certain that Omnimovement will get some adjustment or other in Black Ops 6’s lifespan. But Omnimovement isn’t the only issue that Black Ops 6 players are complaining about!
