The live-action reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has finally dropped – here’s everything shown in the 58-second clip!

This year’s entry in the annual Call of Duty franchise is the long-awaited next instalment of Black Ops action.

Black Ops 6 (yes, it is the sixth Black Ops game) will be a sequel to 2020’s Black Ops: Cold War and will be set in the 1990s. This is an era that has been largely unexplored other than a couple of flashback missions in the original Modern Warfare games.

While we still know very little about Black Ops 6, we now have a better idea about the setting, story and characters in the game. This is following the first live-action trailer for the game, which dropped at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET on May 28, 2024.

Black Ops 6 Live Action Trailer Breakdown

The Live Action Trailer for Black Ops 6, titled ‘The Truth Lies’, gives players a first look at one of the possible main antagonists of the game – Saddam Hussein.

He was the president of Iraq from 1979 to 2003 and was, therefore, a key figure in the Gulf War – a conflict that will almost certainly be at the forefront of Black Ops 6.

The trailer itself shows a number of historical world leaders such as Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Margaret Thatcher, as well as Saddam Hussein speaking cryptically about global conflict.

They mention a hidden war and the world falling apart, so it sounds like the stakes in Black Ops 6 will be very high!

If you can’t wait for more information about Black Ops 6, then you’re in luck. Tune in to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct presentation on June 9 to find out more.

Hopefully, this will include plenty of gameplay, as well as some more details about the campaign. If we’re lucky, Treyarch may also reveal the release date and beta dates for Black Ops 6 too!
