The Black Ops 6 Open Beta introduces a brand-new mode: Kill Order. But now that early access has come to an end, some fans are still voicing their confusion regarding how exactly the mode functions.

How to Play Kill Order in Black Ops 6
In Kill Order, Black Ops 6 players are split into two teams of six players, with one team member from each side being assigned as an armored High-Value Target (HVT).
Players must protect their HVT while simultaneously attempting to eliminate the enemy HVT. Both objectives will be visible on your HUD at all times.
High-Value Targets have a constant UAV that is only visible to themselves, allowing them to track the location of nearby enemies.
Unfortunately, enemy players will always be able to find your High-Value Target, due to the HUD marker above their head updating every few seconds. When encountering a target in person, they’ll also have a distinctive red outline, allowing you to pick them out of a crowd.
Moreover, HVTs will go down before being fully eliminated, similar to in Call of Duty: Warzone. Therefore, you’ll have a chance to revive your HVT before an enemy team can finish the job.
Every time a High-Value Target is defeated, a new player will be assigned as the HVT after a short period.
Scoring
There are three ways to score points in Kill Order, in Black Ops 6:

| Player or HVT Kills HVT | +5 |
As you can see, teams that want to really rack up the points will need to take down enemy HVTs for a whopping 5 points.
However, you must do this while also protecting your own High-Value Target, or else the enemies will have a chance to score big.
The first team to score 150 points is the winner.
While it won’t earn you any in-game points, players can earn XP by surviving as or defending their team’s HVT. Player XP is also rewarded for all eliminations, as usual.
Best Strategy
When playing Kill Order in Black Ops 6, the best strategy is often to find a safe location and hunker down with your High-Value Target.
Finding a location, such as the vent system in Skyline, and sticking a Trophy System down is a great way to ensure your ally is protected at all times.
But protecting your own target isn’t enough – you’ll also need to make an assault on the enemy HVT!
Consider sending a few squad members to attack the enemy team to get an early point lead. But when you’re ahead, sitting tight and defending against incoming players isn’t a bad plan.
Alternatively, given the fact that the HVT has both body armor and the ability to score more points upon killing an enemy, confident players may want to go on the offensive when playing as the High-Value Target.
After all, you’ll get three points for every enemy eliminated when you’re as the HVT – just be aware that players will be able to see your location every few seconds!
