We just got our first official look at the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Campaign in a new trailer from Gamescom Opening Night.
It’s that time of year when marketing for the next COD title is in full flow, and there’s no way to put the breaks on Black Ops 6.
After all, we’re just days away from the start of the Black Ops 6 Beta. And before that, we’re getting a look at the second Zombies map, Liberty Falls, as well as new Warzone and Multiplayer gameplay, at COD NEXT on August 28.
But one thing we’ve been very eager to see more from is the Black Ops 6 Campaign, which is what makes this new trailer so exciting.
Black Ops 6 Campaign Trailer
During the Gamescom Opening Night stream, Treyarch Associate Creative Director Jon Zuk and Executive Producer Katherine Anderson took to the stage to reveal a brand-new Campaign gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
The gameplay trailer showed an extended clip from the mission ‘Most Wanted,’ which features a Hitman-like stealth segment and multiple options for the player to explore.
In order to get a retinal scan from Senator McKenna, players can impersonate key individuals, use deception, or go in guns blazing.
Later in the mission, our heroes are faced with the option to go in loud or utilize stealth as they head for a meet-up with Russell Adler. Players will have to replay the missions in order to see everything that the Black Ops 6 Campaign has to offer.
The game’s new Omnimovement system is on full display, with players diving and sliding in all directions as if in an action movie.
With new equipment, such as the homing knife, Treyarch is giving COD fans more than a few options for decimating the battlefield.
Black Ops 6 Campaign Setting
Black Ops 6 is set after the events of the first Black Ops, continuing the story a decade on from Black Ops Cold War. However, it is also set just two years after Black Ops 2’s late 1980s missions, which has left the team broken in more ways than one.
