Things will feel faster than ever in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta, as Treyarch is buffing movement speed across the board.
If you thought Black Ops 6 was feeling a little slow in early access, you might feel very differently now that Open Beta has arrived!
After all, in its newest update, Black Ops 6 is getting major movement speed increases to all weapon classes. Thankfully, in the same patch, Treyarch introduced massive nerfs to the Jackal PDW, which could mean we’ve seen the last of the SMG’s incredible dominance.
All Movement Changes in Black Ops 6 Open Beta
In the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Open Beta, Treyarch is making small adjustments to baseline movement speeds on all weapon classes.
This includes both general movement speed and moving while aiming down sights (ADS). While SMGs typically offered superior maneuverability, other weapon classes will now be a little more in line with the speedy close-quarters firearms.
And what’s more, players are now encouraged to pull out their knife to increase their speed dramatically.

While wielding a Dedicated Melee Weapon, players can now Tac-Sprint as fast as 8.66 meters a second, which will be key when it comes to getting to an objective before enemy players.
But even while holding your Assault Rifle, you’re certain to notice a difference, particularly if you played a lot of the early access Beta.
But if Omnimovement is overpowered in Black Ops 6 already, it’s sure to be even more so with a buff to movement speed…
Don’t forget that you can claim these exclusive Beta rewards for playing Black Ops 6 this weekend! The limited-time items will carry over to the full game on October 25, so be sure to unlock them while you can.
