If you just can’t wait to get your hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, don’t miss out on its Open Beta later this year!

The best way to see if a new COD game is for you is to jump into its pre-launch Beta testing period. Activision always allows fans to trial its upcoming Call of Duty release in order to both test the game and drum up some extra hype among the fan base.

This time around, Black Ops 6’s Beta will drop in late August – and select fans will be able to jump in early!

When Is the Black Ops 6 Beta’s Release Date?

Activision has now confirmed that the Black Ops 6 Beta will take place on the following dates:

  • Early Access: August 30 – September 4
  • Open Beta: September 6 – 9

During the Beta, all players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC will be able to try out Treyarch’s upcoming shooter. For the first time in recent memory, all platforms will get Beta access at the same time.

The Black Ops 6 Early Access Beta will kick off on August 30, 2024, at 10 AM PT, and conclude on September 4, 2024, at 10 AM PT.

Then, the Open Beta will kick off for all players on September 6, 2024, at 10 AM PT, concluding on September 9, 2024, at 10 AM PT.

Everyone will be able to download and play the Open Beta, but getting early access to Black Ops 6 is easier than you’d think:

How to Get Early Access

Fans can get early access to the Black Ops 6 Beta by pre-ordering any copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

All Game Pass subscribers, regardless of their plan, will also automatically receive early access to the Open Beta.

Pre-ordering Black Ops 6 from a participating retailer will grant players a 13-character early access Beta code, which can then be redeemed at callofduty.com/betaredeem.

This can often be found on your receipt or sent via a purchase confirmation email close to the beginning of the Beta start date.

Will There Be Rewards to Earn?

Yes, Activision confirms that the Black Ops 6 Beta will contain in-game rewards for players to earn.

These rewards, which usually include the likes of Weapon Blueprints, Operator skins, Calling Cards, and other cosmetics, will carry over to the full release of Black Ops 6.

However, for now, Activision hasn’t revealed the exact rewards that players will be able to get their hands on.

Everything Available in the Beta

Activision has not yet revealed all the content thatwill be present in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta.

However, the publisher has teased that never-seen-before multiplayer maps will be available to experience, as well as both classic and brand-new modes.

Perhaps the biggest draw for many players will be getting to try out Black Ops 6’s new Omnimovement system, which allows users to sprint and dive in any direction.

Rumors also suggest that we could get an early look at Black Ops 6 Zombies sometime ahead of the full release, but there is so far no evidence to indicate this is true.
