Despite Treyarch claiming to have tweaked the spawn system after early access, Black Ops 6 players are encountering the worst respawns yet on the Babylon map.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has entered its second Beta weekend, and this time, it’s free for all users to download and play.
Alongside Beta Weekend 2, Treyarch has added new weapons, perks, and even one new map to the Black Ops 6 trial. But so far, the response to Babylon has been overwhelmingly negative.
Black Ops 6 Spawns on Babylon Are Broken
Only hours after the Open Beta went live, we began to see complaints about Black Ops 6’s Babylon map come flooding in.
It’s not hard to see the issue, when the average end-of-match ‘Best Play’ clip looks like this:
In typical Call of Duty Beta fashion, Babylon spawns are completely broken, often dropping respawned players directly in the line of fire.
Oftentimes, players are even spawning directly behind enemies, allowing them to get a free kill without so much as taking a step forward.

It seems that while Treyarch has been working hard to fix spawns on the early access maps, this brand-new Beta map hasn’t had the same treatment just yet.
Because Babylon is a smaller map, it’s always going to be hard to find a spot where there are no enemy players present.
With how fast Omnimovement is (and given Black Ops 6’s new movement speed buff), users are traversing the map at incredible speeds – so we don’t envy Treyarch when it comes to creating decent spawns!
But to make matters worse, Babylon actually replaced the Scud map that we saw in early access.
Now, it feels as though the Black Ops 6 Beta has more small maps than medium-sized ones – and that problem will only become more prominent when the new Strike Map ‘Stakeout’ arrives.
