All Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players will be receiving a selection of free rewards after the Archie’s Festival Frenzy event ended up being completely broken.
If you’re logging into Black Ops 6 this holiday season, you may have noticed a brand-new event just arrived in-game.
Archie’s Festival Frenzy kicked off on December 19, giving players a chance to earn holiday-themed rewards and a brand-new AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle.
But when the event proved to be a disaster, Treyarch decided to give all users a Christmas gift instead.
Archie’s Festival Frenzy in Black Ops 6
In the Archie’s Festival Frenzy event, Black Ops 6 players are tasked with collecting Jolly Archies. These small figures drop from downed enemies in Multiplayer and Zombies, or from opening caches in Warzone.
Archies can be exchanged for special ‘CODMAS’ gifts over on the event page, but players quickly noticed a major problem.
Some users, upon discovering the event page for the first time, noticed that they already had thousands of Jolly Archies, allowing them to instantly unlock all of the event’s rewards.

Others, who weren’t so lucky, tried hopping into a game of Zombies, only to notice that the Archie drop rate was incredibly slow.
Now, Treyarch is writing off the entire event, promising that all players will receive the Archie’s Festival Frenzy rewards when it concludes on January 2, 2025.
If you can’t be bothered with the grind, you’ll still receive everything that the event has to offer (new gun included), early next year. However, if you want to get your hands on the new rewards any sooner, you’ll have to get collecting Archies!
