Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies is good but not perfect, and fans are sharing their biggest issues with the game’s undead survival mode.
It’s been almost a month since the launch of Black Ops 6, which means the game is starting to leave the honeymoon phase for a lot of COD fans.
While initially, new releases are fresh and exciting, the game’s community always finds more than a few issues to complain about.
For the most part, fans agree that Black Ops 6 Zombies is the best version of the round-based survival mode we’ve seen in years. However, the game isn’t without its issues.

The Biggest Problems With Black Ops 6 Zombies
Over on the Call of Duty Zombies subreddit, fans have taken to sharing their biggest complaints about Black Ops 6’s take on Zombies mode.
Here’s what the community believes are the game’s most glaring issues right now:
Too Many Boss Zombies
As players reach higher rounds of Black Ops 6 Zombies, one of its biggest issues becomes abundantly clear.
The higher the round you reach, the higher the spawn rates of tankier, Elite, or Special enemies, such as Manglers, Abominations, and Amalgams.

Manglers are altogether too common, soaking up far more bullets than your standard enemies, while firing player-tracking cannons almost constantly.
Of course, there are specific Ammo Mods that counter each boss zombie (Manglers, for instance, are weak to Napalm Burst), but the health pool and spawn rates of these enemies could still use adjusting.
Weapons Feel Too Weak
Black Ops 6 Zombies is a great way to level up weapons to use in Multiplayer or Warzone, but there’s one major issue – some guns simply feel too weak to grind.
Several of the game’s weapon roster feels weak right out the gate, making tackling even early waves a problem. However, no matter what weapon you’re using, it’ll eventually feel like a peashooter even when Pack-a-Punched three times at Legendary rarity.

As you reach higher rounds, zombies can simply absorb too much damage, which makes eliminating hordes both incredibly challenging and unsatisfying.
And it’s this issue that ties into the next couple of issues on the list:
Zombies Are Always Behind You
It comes as no surprise that Black Ops 6’s zombie XP farm glitches are as popular as they are right now.
After all, exploiting the game seems to be the only way to ensure that the undead aren’t able to spawn right behind you.
Zombies are so quick to despawn and re-appear in an area nearby you that getting enemies to form an orderly queue becomes impossible.

What’s more, there are few areas of the map that allow players to have their backs to a wall, which means you must constantly stay on the move.
Camping is also near-impossible at high rounds in the first place, as zombies take too much punishment for a player to tear through a horde with just their base weapons. And therefore, players are forced to rely not on their guns, but on other less-common forms of weaponry…
Overreliance on Scorestreaks
When they get past Round 50 or so, Black Ops 6 Zombies players need to heavily increase their usage of Scorestreaks and high-tier equipment just to survive.
With zombies taking too much punishment, players need to find or craft Chopper Gunners, Mutant Injectors, and more, in order to have enough firepower to thin out the hordes.

This kills the game’s variety, as there’s only really one way to play at higher rounds. And although we’ve seen players manage to achieve spectacularly high scores, all successful runs tend to look alike.
Of course, all these issues could soon be a thing of the past. Developer Treyarch has already proven that it’s listening to Black Ops 6 users on a number of issues, and Zombies is clearly a priority for the team this year too.
With Season 1 Reloaded just around the corner, and a new Zombies map dropping before the end of the year, we expect to see changes to the mode arriving in upcoming patches.
