Hardpoint is back in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Here are the best loadouts to use in hardpoint core gamemode.
Loadouts for hardpoint are similar to those you could use in domination. Both modes are objective based and have similar spawn points.
Unfortunately, there is no hardcore hardpoint mode, so here are the best two loadouts to use in core mode.
AK-47, Assault Rifle Hardpoint Loadout
If you played Black Ops Cold War in the last two weeks, chances are you came across dozens of players rocking the AK-47 in hard point.
Right now, the AK-47 is as meta as meta can get.
Assault Rifle Alpha is a devastating weapon when matched with the proper attachments and loadout, especially in hard point.
AK-47 Attachments for Hardpoint using Gunfighter
- Optic: Microflex LED
- Muzzle: Muzzle Brake 7.62
- Barrel: 18.2" VDV Reinforced
- Body: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Underbarrel: Foregrip
- Magazine: VDV 50 RND Fast Mag
- Handle: Serpent Wrap
- Stock: No Stock
The optic is completely up to individual preference, but the microflex LED feels like the most familiar red dot sight out of the bunch.
It may come as a surprise that this class includes the tiger team spotlight instead of the steady aim laser.
This specific loadout is aimed to be primarily used in medium distanced fights, because of the flashlight body attachment. This reveals enemies 40 percent easier and will give you the upper hand in combat.
The occasional close distance encounters are bound to happen in Hardpoint and this gun can also handle that.
This specific AK-47 loadout requires the gunfighter wildcard, but could easily be altered to not include it.
While you would be sacrificing the optic, stock, and body attachments, this gun could still help you secure the win in hardpoint.
The perks in this loadout are essential to the way hardpoint is played.
Not only will each of these perks keep you alive just that bit longer, they will also give you the upper hand over your opponent.
- Flak Jacket
- Ghost, Cold Blooded, or Ninja
Flak jacket is absolutely essential in today's game and even more important when sitting on the objective in hardpoint.
Scavenger is a necessity if you tend to go on longer streaks and need the extra ammunition. This AK-47 class does come with 150 total rounds, so you could replace scavenger with gearhead.
The perk three slot is loaded with options. Depending on how you play, you could choose between ghost, cold blooded, or ninja. Ghost is the frontrunner in this category, but the others are viable options.
Tactical, Lethal, and Field Upgrade
While the following tactical and lethal are geared towards capturing a point in hardpoint, the field upgrade is essential to defend one.
Tactical: Stun Grenade
Field Upgrade: Trophy System
The stun grenade and frag are like bread and butter. Each work perfectly with one another and are essential when capturing a hardpoint.
The trophy system is perfect for hardpoints in close quarters when you can't quite see when an enemy is throwing an explosive at you.
MP5, Submachine Gun Hardpoint Loadout
Submachine Gun Alpha caused some serious headaches in the first week of Black Ops Cold War multiplayer.
For that first week, it seemed as though the MP5 was the only weapon being used by everyone until the major nerf turned the gun into a pea shooter.
Fortunately, the gun regained some of its former glory and now rests as one of the strongest submachine guns to use in hardpoint.
This loadout is specifically intended to be used up close and personal when capturing hardpoints.
MP5 Attachments for Hardpoint without gunfighter
The gunfighter wildcard is not required for this MP5 loadout, as five attachments is plenty.
Muzzle: Sound Suppressor
Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
Magazine: Jungle Style Mag
Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
Stock: Raider Stock
In our best MP5 loadouts in Black Ops Cold War, we previously dubbed this loadout the "Speed Ball" because of how quick it is.
The iron sights on this weapon are great by themselves, so we can use our precious attachment slots for other key categories.
The sound suppressor will keep you undetected when firing from inside a hardpoint. The jungle style mag will guarantee you the quickest reload time possible.
The field agent grip, airborne elastic wrap, and raider stock all work together to reduce recoil and increase the aim down sight time.
Since this MP5 loadout does not require gunfighter, you could use perk greed. Perk greed provides you an extra perk in each slot, for a total of six perks.
Having these six perks not only makes you practically invincible to tactical and lethal grenades. They make you invisible to spy planes and quick as can be when sprinting.
- Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask
- Scavenger and Gearhead
- Gung-ho and Ghost
Flak jacket and tactical mask are deadly when combined. Enemies will be forced to shoot at you instead of using grenades.
The scavenger and gearhead perks in slot two will keep you geared up and stocked on ammunition and field upgrades.
Gung-ho and ghost will ensure you stay quick on your feet while being completely invisible to enemy spy planes.
Wildcard: Perk Greed
Tactical, Lethal, and Field Upgrades
Similar to the previous class, the tactical and lethal are the same. The field upgrade is replaced this time for a field mic, which will lead you to more kills with the powerful MP5.
Tactical: Stun Grenade
Field Upgrade: Field Mic
The stun grenades will help you in situations when you are being pushed or flanked while holding a hardpoint. The stun will buy you enough time to reload or even dodge an enemy attack.
The frag grenade is essential when you need to clear a corner without peaking it.
And the field mic will reveal enemies for you before you even see them, giving you the upper hand in up close and personal combat.
