Elden Ring Best Weapon

Best Weapon for Every Stat in Elden Ring

The best weapon in Elden Ring will depend on which attribute your build is prioritizing.

Stats Explained for Weapon Pairing

Someone that has an Intelligence Build will need a completely different weapon than someone that has gone ahead with a Strength Build.

But there are some attributes that players will need for most builds.

These include:

  • Vigor
    • Used to increase your overall health. Players should aim to have their Vigor stat to at least 40 when entering the end game areas.
  • Mind
    • Used to increase Focus Points for skills, sorceries, and incantations. Players who rely heavingly on spells or skills should invest in Mind to increase the number of times they can use said skills before recharging with a flask.
    • Some skills will require a certain amount of Focus Points before being correctly used.
  • Endurance
    • Endurance is used to help boost stamina and carrying limit. Players focusing on strength or dexterity builds will need plenty due to how heavy their items can be.

Once you have those sorted, these are the best weapons for each attribute that you can base your build on.

Best Intelligence Weapon – Dark Moon Greatsword

Elden Ring Dark Moon Greatsword

The Dark Moon Greatsword can be obtained after completing Ranni’s quest. It’s a long and grueling quest that will have you facing the likes of Starscrouage Radahn and even Astel, Naturalborn of the Void.

The Dark Moon Greatsword is a fantastic weapon that can stagger smaller enemies and attack from a distance.

It may seem a bit unorthodox to have a Greatsword as the strongest weapon for an Intelligence build, but it can do incredible damage to enemies when done correctly.

It’s the primary weapon for the Frost Mage Build. When its special weapon skill is activated, Moonlight Greatsword, it coats the weapon with moonlight. This allows players to inflict frost damage on their enemies.

Best Faith Weapon – Sacred Relic Sword

Elden Ring Sacred Relic Sword

The Sacred Relic Sword can be obtained after defeating the Elden Beast and exchanging the Elden Remembrance with Enia.

Its special weapon skill, Wave of Gold, is one of the absolute best in the game. Players launch a gold wave through the ground, melting most enemies.

It is a little harder to use on bosses, but they can still pull it off when players find the right opening. Pair it up with Radagon’s Icon, and players will be able to use their skills a little more quickly.

It’s the best weapon to use for farming in Mohgwyn’s Palace. A full +10 Sacred Relic Sword can get players almost 30,000 runes in under a minute.

Best Dexterity Weapon – Hand of Malenia & Rivers of Blood

Rivers of Blood Elden Ring

The best dexterity weapon is sort of up in the air. On the one hand, the Rivers of Blood is the absolute best weapon in Elden Ring, even after the nerf it received on Update 1.06.

Its special weapon skill, Corpse Piler, can tear through most enemies and inflict bloodless into anyone.

But on the other end, Hand of Malenia scales incredibly well with Dexterity Builds, and its special weapon skill, Waterfowl Dance, is enjoyable to use.

Elden Ring Hand of Malenia

Both weapons can be massively boosted by using the talismans in the overpowered Vampire Build.

You can also dual-wield both, and when you want to use one specific skill, then just two-hand that weapon to activate it or leave it in your right hand.

Best Strength Weapon – Prelate’s Inferno Crozier

Elden Ring Prelate Inferno

The Prelate’s Inferno Crozier can be dropped from an enemy in Fort Laeidd on the western edge of Mt. Gelmir.

This is one of the most fun weapons in Elden Ring and our choice for the best Strength Weapon.

It lets you fling enemies around, and its special weapon skill, Prelate’s Charge, allows players to ram their hammers to the ground and rush into enemies in a surge of flames.

It can even stagger Malenia, Blade of Miquella.

Best Arcane Weapon – Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear

Elden Ring Sacred Spear

The best arcane weapon that players will find in Elden Ring is Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear.

Players will be able to obtain it after defeating Mohg, the Omen, in Mohgwyn Palace and exchanging the Remembrance of the Bloodlord with Enia at the Roundtable Hold.

Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear has excellent range and is helpful for just poking enemies about while having one of the highest bleed capabilities in the whole game.

Its special weapon skill, Bloodboon Ritual, allows players to easily inflict blood loss on enemies.

These are the best weapons in Elden Ring for every attribute. If any of these weapons are in your inventory, you will be set for any area of the game, no matter how difficult.
