The Best sniper class in Black Ops Cold War starts with... The LW3 Tundra.
Using the best attachments to make the best Cold War sniper class can make you a one-shot force in multiplayer.
Out of all the snipers available to equip in your loadouts, the LW3 Tundra holds the top spot.
The LW3 Tundra has been around for quite some time within the call of duty scene and carries an uncanny resemblance to that of the L96A1 from the original Black Ops game.
Seeing someone get quad feed in maps like Summit and Jungle was an everyday occurrence, and in Black Ops Cold War, the LW3 Tundra does the exact same thing.
The LW3 Tundra has an extremely impressive one-shot kill potential from the upper chest, shoulders, and head. By far the biggest one-shot kill potential within its class, making it ideal for quick-scoping.

This LW3 Tundra sniper class setup was designed with one thing in mind... speed
On our quest to create the best sniper class we are going to be changing the sights.
We will be zooming through the maps, we can't have a full-size sniper scope slowing us down.
We need fast short-range target acquisition, so we are going with the Millstop Reflex for this one.
Next is the 26.5 hammers forged barrel, offering a whopping 30% boost to our fire rate, making the LW3 Tundra more forgivable if we miss a shot. This barrel does come with a 15% decreases in idle sway, something that we should be cautious of when lining shot at long ranges.
However, since most of our work done with this gun will be at medium to short-ranges, the idle sway won't matter as much as it would in a traditional sniper setup.
Do keep in mind that this class is for the aggressive, and with aim down sight time of 650 ms, it's simply not fast enough. For our third attachment, the Airborne Elastic Wrap with a 12% boost to our aim down sight time.
The Airborne Elastic Wrap will take our painful slow 650 ms aim down sight time down to 572 ms. This will slow down our shooting move speed and our sprint to fire speed.
Yet slowing down is the last thing we want with this class set up.
For our 4th attachment, we will be using the Marathon Stock with a 30% sprint out boost. It's going to forgive the past transgressions we committed with the Airborne Elastic Wrap, in turn creating the fastest LW3 Tundra possible.
For our final and last attachment, the Steady Sim Laser, with a boost to our hip-fire. We can pray & spray anyone who dares come to close.
This particular set up is a lot of fun and brings this particular sniper back to its former quick coping glory from the old days.
A perfect set up for making your enemies rage quit mid-match!
For our second loadout, we will be going to the opposite side of the spectrum.
With a fully kitted 8 attachments set up. Designed for hanging back and picking people at a range.
1. The "Cold Shoulder" (Best LW3 Tundra Sniper Class Loadout)
- Optic: Royal & Kross 4x
- Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor
- Barrel: 28.2 Tiger Team
- Body: Steady Aim Lazer
- Underbarrel: Patrol Grip
- Magazine: Fast Mag
- Handle: Airborne Elastic Wrap
- Stock: Raider Pad
For the best Cold War sniper class, the Gunfighter Wild Card is a must.
Borrowing The Airborne Elastic Wrap from our last set up, speeding up the aim down sight time. Even so, this time pairing it up with the Raider Pad for the exact same boost to our sprint to fire speed.
However, our stock (Raider Pad) comes with a 40% boost to the aim walking movements speed, allowing us to strafe back and forth and avoided another sniper from taking us out of the fight.
This does come with even a bigger hit to our hip-fire spread, a massive decrease of 30%. We are going to cancel that out with the Steady Aim Laser, negating the effects and canceling each other out.
For this traditional loadout, we are going to be switching out the barrels.
From the 26.5" Hammer Forged Barrel for 28.2 Tiger Team Barrel.
The biggest difference between the two is that we don't get that big of a boost to our fire rate, 21% compared to 30%.
Instead, the 28.2 Tiger Team Barrel comes with a huge damage boost of 20% and a 50% increase to our bullet velocity, allowing us to hit our target at a distance harder and faster.
The best LW3 Tundra sniper class would not be complete without a suppressor.
The Wrapped Suppressor is the pick of the litter with full muzzle flash concealment, keeping us whisper quiet and of the radar.
Simultaneously, it gives us a minor boost to our vertical recoil control for faster target acquisition.
It will also give us a 21% idle sway control; therefore, we won't have to depend on holding our breath as much.
This does come with some massive downsides and an increase in aim down sight time and half of our muzzle velocity from the 28.2 Tiger Team Barrel.
The underbarrel is entirely up to the user. However, we prefer the Patrol Grip giving us a boost to our sprinting move speed, allowing us to get in that perfect position to pick off the enemy one by one.
For our last attachment, the Royal & Kross 4x, there is no problem with the sniper scope that comes with the LW3 Tundra.
On the other hand, having the freedom to choose between the 11 reticles available in Black Ops Cold War allows the user to be as precise as they possibly can.
There you have it the best sniper class set up for LW3 Tundra from close to long-range we got you covered.
If you're still working your way through the levels, here's how to rank up fast in Black Ops Cold War.
